"Interesting that I would have to come all the way to Oberammagau to find great Mexican food in Germany. The Germans don't do spicy very well; schnitzel and bratwurst yes, spicy no. So I was skeptical when my wife wanted to go try El Puente because she wanted Mexican food. We've been to two places in Stuttgart, and both of them ranged from bad to on par with Taco Bell. The first thing that strikes you is the atmosphere. Very lively, great music (ranging from Tejano to other styles of Mexican music which I am unfamiliar with), and the decor is very interesting. I wouldn't say authentic, as authentic places in Mexico don't quite have their walls festooned with cattle skulls, serapes, and sombreros, it's understandable that they have to set the mood, given that the Alps are just around the corner. The food was great, well above what I expected. I had the Chili con Carne, and while this is usually a throwaway dish on the menu, I would say this should be a go-to menu item for anyone wanting a little spice in their life. Not overpowering spice, but it's enough to let you know that it's there. The fresh baked bread to dip into the Chili con Carne was also a great touch. My wife had the chicken enchiladas, which had a lot of flavor, the tortillas tasted very fresh, and the chicken was very tender. Overall, another place to put down in our books of regular places we will go when we are in Oberammagau (see my s'Wirsthaus review for another place)."

Do not go here if you're in a hurry!!! 1 hour before our order was taken, 3 drinks in we're ready for some food, had to ask when our food would be out. Once it came, it was good for not having any Mexican floor for 2 weeks. We're from L.A....

Understanding that this is a Mexican restaurant in Germany it was decent. The nachos were good, but don't expect guacamole or fresh salsa. I ordered the Yucatan plate and everything was very bland. The portions were good for the price, but expect to be underwhelmed on flavor.

I tried El Puente out thinking I was going to have a Mexican dish and instead opted for the BBQ spare ribs. Excellent choice. The ribs were fantastic- tip, if you're not all that hungry ask for a half rack. Service was great, beer and drink selection was on point, and the food was great!

You'd never expect great Mexican food in a little german village but this place was super good!!! The service is awesome and fast and the atmosphere is fun and lively. I'd recommend making reservations because it fills up fast. The food is super delicious and we are definitely coming back.

Ok so you need to remember that you are eating Mexican food in Bavaria it is tasty enough but some dishes seemed like the salt shaker was dropped in the pot. No big deal as the ambiance, the beer and the service largely make up for the rest. For a good time amongst friends, this is the place to be in O gau.

Be sure to come with a reservation because they get pretty busy during dinner hours. We ended up sitting at a standing table and they were nice to accommodate us. We order the grande plate and it was a great share among 4 of us. Additionally, most of us ordered a different meat/veggie fajita variety and they all tasted great! Would recommend! They also gave each of us free tequila shot coupons. Unfortunately we weren't able to utilize them haha

After returning from the Christmas market in Innsbrook we came upon this Mexican restaurant. This establishment is colorful, and cozy at the same, with great energy making the ambiance delightful. They have a happy hour cocktail daily and ours was great at a great happy hour price. The menu offered a wide variety of food and looking around the restaurant everyone's plates looked delicious as was ours. The staff was friendly and worked together well. No suggestions here except go and enjoy a great time!

So you want good mexican in Germany. Well it's hard to find. As a guy who grew up in Los Angeles, I know some good mexican good. El Puente puts in a good effort. In Bavaria, really an awesome effort. I went with something simple, tacos. They were good and had jalapeños that were hot. Not burning your mouth hot and need milk, but enjoyable. Besides one side of the taco disintegrating into the plate, I prefer to eat tacos in my hands, the tacos were good. Lots of meat and beans, plus potatoes. I couldn't finish the whole thing. If you are in Oberammergau, definitely check this place out. I'll be back to try more. Update...I went back to try another dish. I went with the chicken enchiladas. Boo...
