"We tried the pre-theatre night menu at Street Cafe Bistro and enjoyed a tasty bowl of Scouse. While it had more potato and carrots than beef, it was still delicious on a wet and windy night. For dessert, we were surprised to find three mince pies in a single portion of custard, which we happily shared. The price was very reasonable, especially for a theatre setting, with all five of us sampling the Scouse for just £6.50 each, including a bread roll. The service staff were friendly and attentive, and our food arrived quickly. The location of the restaurant, within the Everyman theatre, was perfect for a pre-show meal or drink. The ambience was very nice, and the facilities, including gender-neutral bathrooms, were up to standard. Overall, we had a great experience at Street Cafe Bistro and would recommend it for lunch or a variety of other dishes and sandwiches."

I went for lunch and ordered the chicken and leek pie, which was fantastic! The staff were incredibly attentive and provided excellent customer service. The food was also very reasonably priced.

This is a great cafe for any time of day. Light, wholesome food for lunches with plenty of choice. Very comfortable seating and a lively vibe but one can always find a quiet corner to read a paper or check emails.

My wife and I went to the bistro to enjoy a relaxing evening. The band Grandfallon was playing, along with a talented female artist who reminded me of Joni Mitchell. It brought back memories of the classic bistro nights. View menu

A pleasant place to sit with a coffee while waiting for the show to start. A limited selection of food available which consisted mostly of pies. Whilst the cafe is pleasant in its own right, it’s a poor substitute for the original Everyman bistro in the basement.

They took out the Bistro a couple of years ago. Honestly cannot understand the thinking behind it. It was full of warmth, fun, lovely food and great bohemian atmosphere. Now they’ve just got a boring soulless cafe. It’s nice enough but if I were management, I’d swallow my pride and reinstall the bistro. A huge mistake to get rid of it. Everyone goes to the Pen Factory next door now. BRING IT BACK!

Well we all went online to look up The Everyman bistro evening meal menu. I personally picked the hake with new potatoes. Arrived tobe told bistro was shut and is hardly ever open. We must use “ Street cafe”. Street cafe had a very limited menu with definitely no hake or steak and potato pie that was on website. Had to find somewhere else to eat. Seriously don’t display a menu that you don’t serve! View menu

Popped in about an hour before our show, limited menu but it looked tasty! Two of our group are gluten intolerant but that was OK as two meals were labelled as GF. Just to be certain we asked as we ordered, only to be told that neither meal was actually gluten free?? So we had to leave as the only actual options were to order a side of plain vegetables or plain chips. For our family eating gluten just means upset stomachs, but for a coeliac you'd be causing some serious harm! Extremely irresponsible.

We ate ate this restaurant because we were going to see a play and it seemed an obvious choice. The restaurant was full, but that was no excuse for the really slow service you'd think they would have this covered for their pre show seating. On the plus side, the food was delicious and the set menu well priced with a good range to choose from. The bar was a bit limited in the range of beers (only one light ale on tap, plus lagers). Overall we enjoyed eating there, but the slow service would prevent us from going back.
