"The lake terraces Öhningen are located directly on a small part of Lake Constance, the so-called Untersee, near the Swiss border, on the Höri Peninsula, pure nature. The lake terraces are also accessible by boat, as there are in-house ridges and a boat meadow. Creative, fresh kitchen in a relaxed setting can be found here. From breakfast to the lunch table, coffee and cakes or ice cream to the diner in the evening everything is offered. The menu offers regional mouthbags, seafood lingerie..... classic carvings, haxen..... but also upscale cuisine fried duck livers, elder snacks.... plus a daily changing recommendation card depending on the season. I spent my lunch break on the beautiful terrace of the restaurant with a direct view of the Untersee, with this great ambience you almost forget your business appointments and choose almost on holiday. The tables were covered with fabric tablecloths and colorful meadow flowers. I have fried Aal in sage butter with parsley potatoes and colourful market salads an absolute poem, and I would like to have been sitting here until the evening, but the work called after the very, very delicious food."

"Das Feldbach war bis anhin mein absolutes Highlight. Es muss aber wohl ein Wechsel in der Geschäftsführung gegeben haben. Die einstmals schönen Rosen sind ein Bild des Elends, in den Rabatten wuchert das Gras. Auf dem Tisch ein dreckiges Tischtuch um 11.30! Da man noch eilig die Tische für die Gruppen aufdecken musste, hatte der Service keine Zeit für die bereits wartenden Gäste. Nach 1 Std. bekamen wir das Essen. Der teure Salat mit rohem Gemüse und Kräutern war ein hundskomuner gemischter Salat, ertränkt in einer wässrigen Sauce und von Kräuter keine Spur. Das Fleisch durchgebraten, Knusperli, Gemüse, Kartoffeln weder knusprig, noch frisch einfach lieblos. Das einstmals fachkundige Personal wurde offenbar ersetzt. Gottseidank kann man die Lage nicht auch noch zum Nachteil verändern!"

"Die Nummer 1 von Mammern zu sein ist nicht wirklich schwer, wenn alle anderen Lokale geschlossen haben. Selbiges gilt auch für die Nachbarorte und mangels Alternativen in Radnähe zum Campingplatz Guldifuss (Restaurant seit 3 Jahren geschlossen), sind wir schlussendlich doch im Schiff gelandet. Mangels Reservierung mussten wir 10 Minuten warten, haben die Zeit genutzt und zu Fuß noch den See besucht, um dann im hinteren Eck (alten Teil) des Lokals einen Tisch für 2 zu bekommen. Wunderschön holzvertäfelte Wände und dezente Deko. Das Service gehoben distanziert, die Preise gehoben, aber für die Küche und (die Schweiz) angemessen. Als „Gruß aus der Küche“ gibt es gleich einen ganzen Salatteller mit Brot! Der Fisch ausgezeichnet, auch das vegetarische Gericht. Fazit: auch wenn man nur ein Lokal zur Auswahl hat, bedeutet das nicht automatisch, dass dieses Lokal schlecht ist. Im Gegenteil: es kann ja auch bedeuten, dass alle anderen das hohe Niveau des Schiff nicht halten konnten. Wie auch immer wir haben es nicht bereut!"

"A tip (not only) for all Lake Constance travelers: close to a Yachhafen you will always find the necessary infrastructure: clean toilets, working water, good and cheap food and drink, cozy places to cool and sun. On a very sunny Sunday afternoon at the beginning of August we realized that the usual touring villages on the Swabian Sea (Konstanz, Meersburg, Friedrichshafen) have a lot to do and we should rather go to the province. Personally, the Höri peninsula has grown to my heart. Hermann Hessen once lived in Gaienhofen – so it also moved us there, with the aim of shaking something at the port and reconciling us. S ́Plätzle is located directly at the harbour building, under a roof with harbour masters and public toilets. The harbour bridge was redesigned in 2002 and the ganez complex around it is very well maintained, beautifully planted, with lots of wood appealing and has a spacious, beautifully furnished terrace with a very long wooden table (can sit on the whole large family), several smaller tables and chairs, lounge furniture for cooling and enough parasols. The menu offers beautiful small snacks, delicious dishes, coffee and homemade cakes, cool drinks and fine cocktails. You have to order at the counter and bring the drinks and food to your own table. Now and then someone comes to wear, wipe the table and clean it. This Sunday the bear also came here. The terrace was full of families with children, couples, seniors, cyclists, excursions, tourists. The snake at the switch was long. The full, freshly baked paprika with butter were very popular (worm was praised on all sides, ordered and probably always had to be freshly baked – the base comes from the big market as I was entrusted). Also the hit: dishes served in one-piece glass. The sausage salad and the freshly cut melon slices were particularly welcome (beautiful in the glass). In addition to the sprinklers and smoked sausages (so-called whip plugs), Aperol sprizz tasted, but it tasted somewhat too sweet to me, which was well dressed visually and was served with a bead cooled. Accounting documents do not exist by default, but in the hectic I could not poke on it. All in all, I like the place very well. Parking was short and we had to park and run far away. Hell goes on weekends. But under the week you have a break. And next to the cookie you can bathe and sunbathe. Children feel comfortable here."
