"The restaurant could be a good restaurant but there are some things that need to be worked out. I made reservations for 6 people (including 2 children) for 17:30 on a Saturday. I was really excited b c of the reviews I've seen. The bad: Operationally, the meal went terribly. Food took too long to arrive and when it did arrive, it was over-cooked. For example, I put in the kid's food order right away b c I knew they were hungry. I ordered a kid's burger and a couple of sides. Burger came out in a reasonable amount of time. Sides came out ~30 minutes after the burger was finished. Oma and Opa ordered burgers. My wife and I ordered a tuna steak and entrecote. We waited over an hour for that food to arrive. Oma's burger was cold upon arrival. As indicated earlier, the tuna steak was way over-done and my steak was also overdone. The coordination of hot food arriving at the same time needs to be worked out. Honestly, as a father of two young children, I wouldn't have cared if the food came out at different times. Just not cold overcooked... I'd also say their wine selection (at a steakhouse) could be better. The good: The salmon tartar was delicious. The carrot and rosemary potato sides were tasty too. Solid steak and fish selection for you to choose from. Our server was kind and there were plenty of servers. I asked to speak with the manager and he was understanding as well. I'd be willing to try this place again if we're ever in the area but it's got to work out some operational items"

"Once again, I introduce a restaurant that is special. It is no longer a secret tip in Rheine, although it is completely new. The location on the eastern edge of the Rhine, right on the small sports field, is unique. The cyclists are ideally connected to a natural, very extensive bicycle network. But also the car guests love the simple way and the parking directly in the restaurant. Whether you sit inside, on one of the large windows, or on the large veranda with parasols; always has a very good view of the rolling field of this small airfield. And whoever likes it can often observe small single-engine propeller machines or sail flyers. If, of course, the veranda is very well visited and shaded, then the view from inside is of course somewhat restricted. But who wants to complain about veranda weather? The menu aims at the clientele of the large center, but there are also fish and seafood. Many carvings, steaks and salads, but also interesting pasta dishes and various pancakes. A buffet breakfast is served in the morning. But I heard it was often overrun. In the afternoon there are coffee and cakes and a lunch table. During my visit the weather was not even so good, but it was sturdy, quite loud and lively. Obviously, it has developed very quickly into a kind of family meeting, so there are guests of any age, from baby to age. I chose a pancake with smoked salmon and fresh cheese. And he also tasted me well, although I recently prepared the same recipe for myself and my guests and therefore can say (without me to boast especially great cooking skills that I make this dish 10 times better than today's performance: The pancake was clearly coking; there are golden brown, brown and black. But that was pretty black. Fortunately, I am very insensitive at this point. That's how I still enjoyed it. The salmon insert was also very thin and aromaless, but at least the fresh cheese insert was not excessively thick. Maybe because of this unfortunate pancake I have the offer on a coffee or espresso at the expense of the house? Prices are usually relatively normal, but often in the high direction. A large part of the carving variants rose from 15 euros and then the supplements like salt potatoes, or Rösti, for example, pay extra. Now I have no idea why these carving variants had this price level, because I myself have rarely ordered schnitzel in the restaurant and I have never seen anyone on the plate. That's how it can have his permission. The premises are completely barrier-free both on the veranda and within the very well maintained toilets. In addition to the on-site parking spaces, there are also some bicycle places and an E Bike charging station. There is also a small playground for children next to the airfield. There is room, inside and outside, plentiful."

"We traveled to Rheine with colleagues recently and before we left the city and drive back to Dusseldorf, we had the chance to stop by Beesten and enjoyed one of the nicest lunch I have had for a long time.The building itself has nothing much to be talked about and it is quite close to the train line which means that during the lunch, the occasional train full of Audi cars makes its way to the harbor. Past this small disturbance, I cannot recommend Beesten enough.Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner I guess and they were prompt to show us to the table. The menu itself is plentiful and the young lady who was looking after our table was very professional. i ordered the fish soup, duck breast and dessert. All very good. Our host recommended the entrecote which looked also very nice. All in all, a very pleasant lunch in a pleasant environment. I will definitely go back whenever I have the chance to travel back to Rheine!"

"Das Restaurant ist klein im vorderen Bereich und gemütlich. Wir waren im großen Nebenzimmer, dort ist es eher schlicht. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir hatten die hausgemachte Pasta und das Lamm. Beides fein zubereitet und auf den Punkt genau gegart. Die Zutaten zur Pasta waren sehr frisch und fein abgestimmt. Nichts außergewöhnliches aber stimmig und ehrlich. Sehr empfehlenswert auch auf Grund des freundlichen Personals. Jederzeit wieder."

"Ich bin so oft im Echtzeit. Es hat mir bisher immer gut gefallen und ich gehe sehr gerne ausschließlich dort hin wenn es um Rheine geht. Heute war leider aber das zweite mal Innerhalb kurzer Zeit, dass ich 20 Minuten am Tisch sitze: ohne Begrüßung, ohne erste Bestellung. Ich hab mich sogar versucht, bemerkbar zu machen. Verstehe leider nicht, warum man im Service so unaufmerksam ist. Es ist doch offensichtlich, wenn Getränke leer sind oder gar nichts auf dem Tisch steht. Schade ist, dass selbst der Chef mehrfach über die Tische schaut, aber selbst nicht bedient. Wir haben dann woanders gegessen. Ich komme wieder hoffe aber, dass es wieder besser läuft. Wenn der freundliche Italiener da ist, klappt es ausgezeichnet. Sonst gefühlt irgendwie nie."
