"An odd place that I wanted to like, but fell well short in all regards. Getting the menu wasn't easy. It's an annoying NFC thing that is taken away far too quickly so it becomes a faff and then everyone looks at their screens for too long. There wasn't a working light in the men's toilets. The service was weirdly formal and disjointed. Our waitress had very little knowledge of the available wines and had to constantly refer to the sommelier. Why not just get the sommelier!? We were the only people there so they probably weren't busy! The outdoor space is ruined, as it's also the home of the exit of the kitchen extractor fan which is very loud. The food was disappointing. Bland and uninteresting, tiny portions and a very limited choice. I had two courses and needed to eat elsewhere. For a wine focussed restaurant, the choice was again very limited. We had an ok orange wine, but it was nothing special. The only good thing was the cold meat selection. I would come for that and a glass of wine, but don't come for dinner. The indoor space is also very interesting."

recommended by a local guide we found ourselves very well, the frieze was great and the pork cheek cooked in the super primitive to pleasure thanks to the donatella sympathetic and good sommelier who recommended us a great wine to accompany the excellent dishes. Good.

We visited Fermento on our honeymoon in Puglia. We were on the hunt for natural wine bars abroad and Feremento did not disappoint! Donatella served us the most incredible wines by the glass wines we could never get in Canada. Definitely a must visit for natural wine lovers visiting Matera. We didn’t have the chance to eat here but the ambience and attention to detail makes us feel like it would be top notch. View menu

only one word: Great. we stayed at matera only one night and our dinner at the ferment was perfect. excellent variety of wines and a definitely unique menu, typical dishes contaminated and delicious, blueberry and black garlic fusillons, ciulledda with gazpacho. and the most good and original cheesecake ever tasted. the owners are two young boys, talented, the clean and although characteristic restored and maintained in every detail. I loved everything

I'm not saying we're three people who want to go. My husband has a restaurant. the environment is typical and very nice. the dishes are made with refined ingredients, genuine and processed by the chef in an excellent way. each ingredient is enhanced to the maximum. the meat is very soft and with an explosion of flavors. dessert revisited by the chef with a touch of fantasy and a sublime goto. the sommelier is very experienced and will accompany you to your choice. the price quality ratio for food quality is more than honest. Congratulations!
