"This is the second time we visited because we loved it so much the first time! It's a small quaint place but the service and food is excellent. We had the smoked salmon, queen scallops, Cullen skink and the Welsh rarebit with ham hock for starters. All very delicious especially the ham hock! For mains we had the halibut, Coley and the langoustine tails. Portions were good but fish is light so we had room for dessert. We tried the specials ice cream and the brownie which was lovely and dark with a hint of ginger. Our waiter was the same one we had the first time, who made our experience very memorable giving us funny stories and advice. Unfortunately we didn't get his name but he's the Irish one. So thank you to him for being great! The food is quite expensive but it's definitely worth it! We'll probably be back again in the near future!"

A true seafood restaurant. Excellent fish selections. Super mussles and tender squids. Very good wine list.

Fantastic restaurant, one of the best places in Edinburgh for seafood. Great setting on the shore, the staff are fantastic as well. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.

The best restaurant in Edinburgh!! An absolute jewel of a restaurant in a beautiful setting, down on the shore. The menu changes depending on what they capture and the aroma combinations are no longer! Couldn't recommend this place enough.

The best seafood I have tried so far in Edinburgh. Loch Creran rock oysters, Anstruther smoked salmon and Shetland mussels great local goods that you can’t miss. Very friendly and welcoming staff, a member of them even recommended us some good cafes in Leith. Will definitely return.

Really delicious, fresh seafood. The staff was very nice and the food was delivered to our table within less than 15 minutes after the order, despite the warning of possible delays by the packed restaurant. Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality of fish and large portions. Total great experience with beautiful views.

It is my favorite restaurant in Edinburgh, fresh seafood, tasteful, delicious food! We tried the fish soup, the fish cake and the shells if I could eat more, I would do that! The staff was super friendly and friendly, also interested in our plans for the day, the atmosphere is not touristy at all, very casual, comfortable and cozy.

For the main course, my partner had the crab tempura burger, which was also enjoyable. The buns were good, the sauce was nice, and the crab was fried to a perfect crispiness. The service, however, was a bit off. I found one of the staff members to be too laid-back and not quite as welcoming as I would expect in such a nice, upscale restaurant.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! It has a great atmosphere, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. The seafood here is the best in the city. I came specifically for their famous seafood plate, and it did not disappoint. The fish soup also blew me away with its creamy flavor and perfectly cooked fish. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this place to any seafood lovers visiting Leith!

The food was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff were wonderful. We dined in the restaurant, which, despite its small appearance, had a very comfortable layout—never felt cramped next to other diners. We made a reservation 24 hours in advance for the hot seafood platter, which was delicious. The restaurant was clearly well-organized, as we didn't have to wait long for our meal despite the size of the dish.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
