"Just what we needed, having walked our dog along the cycle trail on a hot morning and just fancied popping in for an ice cream. Bon Appetit is ideally situated for both cyclists and walkets alike, and could not have been more dog friendly, with a nice big bowl of water put out for thirsty pooches. We were soon tempted by other goodies on the very comprehensive and reasonably priced menu and settled for churros and a milk shake. Whilst placing our order, I could see cake mixture being poured into a tin, so the range of cakes are home made and looked delicious. What is obviously a converted farmyard was the ideal spot to sit in the sun (there is some undercover seating for less sunny days). My husband said that was the best milk shake he had ever had (praise indeed), and I have to agree with him. Our 9 month old springer puppy was made a fuss of by the staff and the whole experience was brilliant. Our pup was well behaved enough for us to feel that we could have stayed longer. I’m sure Bon Appetit will be a favourite and next time we will stop for lunch, as the food coming out to other tables looked delicious!"

"We started with two cocktails: Frozen Watermelons and Better Than Blue Lagoon. Both were visually appealing and colorful, but the flavors were somewhat mild and a bit too sweet for our liking. We also had some bread with mackerel pâté, which had a strong flavor that we enjoyed, though it might not appeal to everyone. For our main courses, we ordered the seafood platter and steak with fries. The seafood platter included mussels, clams, shrimp, lobster legs, and scallops. Considering the price, we expected a larger portion, and while the seafood was fresh, we’ve certainly had tastier options elsewhere. The steak was decent—not a prime cut—but the flavor was acceptable. The fries were enjoyable, though. We paired our meal with a nice cold bottle of white wine, which was crisp and refreshing. The restaurant boasts lovely views of the sunshine streaming in; while it's not directly on the beach, the scenery is pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the seating was a bit uncomfortable after a while due to the hard chairs and benches. On the upside, it's dog-friendly. In the end, we spent around £120, which felt a bit steep for what we received. The food was quite average at best, making for a satisfactory dinner but nothing more. While we were glad we tried it once, we chose not to return on subsequent nights. Ultimately, it seemed to present a more upscale image than it truly delivered, especially in terms of food quality."

"This is a charming pub brimming with character! The walls are adorned with many intriguing decorations that really add to the atmosphere. There's a lovely bar featuring a piano, along with comfortable seating areas perfect for hosting parties, as well as a smaller, cozy space. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more delightful! We enjoyed two Sunday dinners that were not only delicious but also very reasonably priced, with generous portions. There's even a small park outside for children to play in. I highly recommend a visit!"

"This time I only popped in for a drink after work. However, a couple of weeks before we popped in for dinner. Although the beers are good I am afraid the very young staff were doing their jobs and no more. The family next to us had food missing were not happy. Having been here previously always had fantastic food this visit was really disappointing. The place was closed by 9!!! Would appear the change of hands has not been a good thing for the food here."

"We’ve been semi regulars for a while now and really enjoy Thursday pub quiz night. Staff are very welcoming. However whilst the food served is very good have noticed that portion size has decreased on the last couple of visits, guess it’s a sign of the times. For example I come for lunch every now and then, just order a bowl of delicious homemade soup, but the size of bowl now very small, also used to offer smaller portions of some main meals for lunch etc but no longer. If not for this I would rate 5*. Had the lasagne which was good but could do with either a larger portion or a decent portion of salad on the side not just a couple of leaves. Realise it’s a difficult time for businesses in the hospitality sector but like many other people we drive several miles to the pub when we could just walk to our local town. Anyway this is I hope taken as feedback, it is a lovely pub which serves good food just could do with adjusting the portion size a little."
