In an early evening we drive to the premises of the restaurant “Zum Moorteich, Parking on one of the few still free parking spaces and tell us that it can actually be just a good sign if many people have found themselves in this rather remote corner of Scharbeutz for food. We enter the premises where the premises have the right word, because with regard to the eye we see tables and chairs of light wood, rustic, rural. Half-high partitions take the room, an older farm Gasthof is our first impression. Our second impression: What about everything in the world? Once a week is grill. Due to the heat we choose light food: vegetable dish. However, we are undecided whether we should choose the small up to €12.50 or the big one. After another 20 minutes waiting time, the service comes to us, which we still sit on the terrace and flash into the sunsets, while the restaurant is full of roughness. It brings wine and water to which we have waited with increasing impatience in the face of the heat. She apologises for the long waiting period, picks up the order and advises us in the small part, as she – in her opinion – is very large. After 20 minutes, the plates are served: ui, how do the big plates look?! The herbal sugar beet, peas, carrots, princely beans, mushrooms, leek, broccoli, cauliflower, cauliflower, rose cabbage, 1 delicious tomatoes with cheese is boiled to the point, but tastes despite sauce Hollandaise 'a Bisserl fad', so completely without herbs, not even a small parsley was donated. The fair is not equal to the class – what are these enormous quantities?! I can do half the huge “small” part, my girlfriend is already after a third. Shame on the vegetables! Conclusion: On the terrace it was wonderfully relaxing, the smell surrounding the entire property in the evening, however, was sometimes a bit disturbing as we did not identify. The service was very nice, but overwhelmed by the urge and the food... nix Dolles, but I will certainly visit the restaurant again and choose another dish - up-date will follow if necessary."

If we want to eat delicious German cuisine, then always like the moor pond. Currently only a reduced menu due to Corona, but still a plentiful selection of dishes. The food is freshly prepared and therefore needs some time. The portions are very plentiful and taste great. The Corona distance rules and hygiene are also well implemented. Always like that.

We were going to eat our New Year's stay in Scharbeutz almost every day. Eating is very rich and very tasty.We have eaten nowhere as well as there in Scharbeutz. The services were always very nice...but we also have to say it really quite fresh. But we can still recommend eating there. We will do it again and again in our next holidays.
