"a beautiful sunny lagecafé in the center of honley, perhaps a struggle for those who enter mobility difficulties due to the small side steps and small steep steps to use a bathroom. clean and beautifully furnished similar to a kitchen. jankee doodle breakfast of American buttermilk pfannkuchen, streaky speck and rührei with maple syrup for and a pot of yorkshire tee, for which I order and paid at the arrival. the service/communication felt quite abrupt and sober, perhaps due to an early start, but a smile would have been nice. Unfortunately, the pancakes, small flat and solid, which are not like American fluffy pancakes, which I usually get from different places, and the streaky speck is quite sloppy with oil and chew instead of the crispy streaky speck, which I expected, the cussed eggs completely tasteless, but that can be changed by adding their own salt and pepper. it is a personal choice that I like and expected fluffy American pancakes and crispy streaky bacon, so it is very disappointing and not at all tastes for me so that I leave it. I explained that I didn't like the breakfast very much and it wasn't removed from the table when my laugh was served, their weren't asking why I didn't like it and offered no alternative or refund. I thought they might have wanted feedback for their own business improvements, but it didn't seem too important? it could be that this breakfast is not served in the rule, but the traditional breakfast is as expected? tee we are a yorkshire tee bag in a small teekanne for one with sugar cachets held on a bookcase close by. I ordered a big latte for when I was finished tee, so I could see if I like her coffee (I usually drink coffee when I'm out). I would say the latte I had is acceptable and smooth for my lust, everyone has different preferences here to the bean and strong. I would visit again for a drink, but I would not try out food anymore because the risk that the cost is high, without alternatives offered or discussed if it is not as expected. small and picturesque local caffe for a cuppa, but in my experience very bad customer service and disappointing for eating."

Decent friendly service, and good food at a reasonable price. Plenty of places to sit, and pleasant to sit in. For those who are not so good on their feet please not the toilets are upstairs. I had a very nice full vegetarian breakfast for £5.00 complete with toast and jam.

I called to the brunch. all the tables were taken outside so we sat in an empty caffe, which was in order. but when we asked to order, she answered, I make a really big order so you have to wait. So, my man, please, they want us to wait or come back later, and they just said do whatever. I personally would have left at this point, but another waitress offered to take our order. we are not going back. the customer service was terrible. View menu

had a late breakfast today and pampered in the breakfast burger. the combination of burger, egg bacon and hash brown and the next offer of some chips and some bohnen was an unexpected tasty bite. it would have done with a little sose or relish to lift it, but soss are on the table and a bit ketchup worked wonder. the coffee was well made and the service was excellent. I can warmly recommend this place to stop for a cuppa and chat with friends.

Popped in to kill some time whilst I waited for a local mechanic to complete some work on my car. The food was great, (I had a full English) lovely coffee and a refreshing orange juice. The woman who I assume owned it was super friendly, very polite and smiley, noticed she had some elderly regulars who she greeted and even went as far as opening sachets of sauce for them it's just the little things that stick out about this place but those little things really make a difference. Id certainly return on my next trip to Honley.
