"I believe the main issue here is that everything has been reduced in quality, yet they continue to charge the same prices! The ball pit in the soft play area is empty, along with other items that used to be available, but the price remains unchanged. A few months ago, I had a fantastic cream tea with a large scone, clotted cream, and jam; it was lovely. However, during my visit today, the scone was only a quarter of the size, and they served canned cream instead of the clotted cream, yet it was still the same price. I've never encountered whipped cream from a can served with a scone before. The coffee prices are also outrageous, costing more than Starbucks—with a small latte priced at £3 and a child’s fruit drink at £1.40. Bottled sodas are over £2.50, and there are no ice or glasses provided. It's disappointing to say this, especially since this place has always been good, but I’m unlikely to return."

We love this garden centre. The Christmas decorations and lights are fab. The kids always find a way of spending a small fortune too.. The staff who work here are a credit. Nothing is too much. View menu

This was today a ladies meeting point to catch up after not seeing each other for a number of years. The cafe staff were delightful and so helpful with our requests. We even purchased some fleeces for when out walking which were in the sale and I consider a real bargain.

Went for breakfast and when it arrived it looked great, sadly it went downhill fast. They forgot my tea and butter for my white toast when I ordered brown. The bacon was over cooked, the eggs were under cooked and snotty and floating in oil. The sausages looked perfect but had no taste to them. The beans were stewed and God knows what the mushroom stems were about, tomatoes raw and cold. The black pudding was nice though and the tea. Not bothered about the cost but it was really disappointing after it was recommended to me. I don't have the heart to tell that person and I hope they don't ask me..

The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Today, they even prepared my usual order as soon as they spotted us walking through the garden center toward the restaurant. The drinks and food are both reasonably priced and delicious, and the soft play area is just £2.45. The mini soft play zone is separate from the restaurant and has seating for over 30 people. It's the perfect size for preschoolers, and my two-year-old enjoys visiting at least once a week. There’s also a designated area for babies and an outdoor terrace. It's wonderful that you can drop in with kids without needing to book, and then feed the Koi carp on your way out. As for vegetarian options, they offer milk alternatives. View menu

The kids play area was a disappointing waste of time. If they said on their website that it's small, and on a week day at 10am it'll be full, I'd not have wasted the time and fuel. There's no way to book nor to get a place in a queueing system. If they thought I'd still pay to use their café while my 2-year old looked through the glass doors at the other kids playing in the play area, then they were wrong. I entertained him for free looking at the aquarium section of the shop, then went elsewhere to play. Thankfully, he is good natured generally and was in a good mood that morning. Otherwise, there would have been a scene. I saw at least 4 other parents disappointed within about 5 minutes of...

This review is for the cafe only as the plants selection and prices were absolutely fine. We had lunch in the cafe at the garden centre and quite honestly it was the worst lunch, for both price and quality, that we have had in many a year. My wife had a smoked salvo and prawn sandwich with salad which comprised of two thick slices of sliced bread with a sparse filling and a little side salad garnish. It was very dry and lacked flavour. I had a crispy chicken wrap, salad leaves with Caesar salad dressing which was very dry, composing some pieces of battered chicken, a few salad leaves and very little ceasar dressing and around hand a dozen chips. It was tasteless and dry. With a tea and coffe...
