"(Last visited 7/8/2021. Working in Bordeaux for a few weeks and it was a dream of eating me in a Michelin Star restaurant. If you don't know what a Michelin Star restaurant is... it's a restaurant that has reached one of the highest reviews in the world. So much has to happen to be awarded a star. Imagine if there was an Illuminati and they will award the best restaurants in the world. That's how it works. There are 3 levels to the Michelin Star... 1 star, 2 stars and 3 stars that are the best of the best. These stars must also be won every year. You don't just get the star and hold it. You have to keep the status. So being in Europe is this place with them FLOODED because here the Michelin Star game began. So, I have some research and found this relatively affordable place (at lunch and decided to pull the trigger. Here is what happened... Atmosphere / Appearance: Directly from 62 Rue Abbé de l 'Epée is this masterpiece. There is no parking or something like this, so much luck to find a garage nearby or risk everything with street parking in France. Lol. Once in you 're greeted by many natural light, shelves of wine and only a domestic feeling. It makes you feel like you went to someone's home and that's very comforting. Once you're past the wine area, go right in front of the kitchen where you can see the magicians of Garopapilles who perform their spells to taste things they did. Then you will be welcomed by about 4 to 6 tables, depending on the reservations made this day. By the way, you needed to MAKE RESERVATIONS for here or else it's just a table for you. On the right side of the dining area is the outdoor area where you can dinate on warmer days and it is also the garden where the cook 's bring their herbs and greens to magic with you! Service: Service was of course exquisite. We paired the lunch time and included the wine addition. There were 2 servers running food and taking care of us unbelievably. Both ensured that we explained the dishes we served and why the wine that was served with it was chosen. It was great. Food: Here is the complicated part. Lol. I cannot be able to explain to you all the dishes, so I will publish you on the pictures that will be published along with this review. As I mentioned, I made lunch pairing and the dishes are randomly chosen. That's the coolest. We literally had NO IDEA what we served, and my date was something different from what I got! So when we cooperated together, we had the chance to try 10 different dishes (if we wanted to share). Lol. It was such an amazing experience. We started with an Amuse Bouche, which was divided between us, made from seaweed chips, another kind of Nacho-Salsa something-or-other and what looked like Wintons. Course 1 was a very light sea bass served with a delicious cream sauce. Course 2 was a lobster with artichoke and orange sauce. Such good and light aromas are so good balances. Course 3 (which did not really count as a course, was a salmon soup designed to clean the palate. It was delicious salty and the roe has ZERO fishy taste. I couldn't believe it. She just exploded in your mouth when you were in her and unbelievable. Course 4 was an octopus gnocci, which was SO DIFFERENT, but very tasty. The octopus cut like a crazy steak. Course 5 started the desserts! We had some kind of ice cream, but I can't remember the taste, just know it was good! Then finally a few chocolates to finish lunch. The food here is OUT OF DIESER WORLD and it's easy to understand why this place holds that Michelin Star so proud. Value: So to do lunch with as many as we had, that would be €65.00. If you want a lesser plate, it is only €45.00. That's a lot of money for lunch. By the way, all prices were per person. Again, it's a lot for lunch, but it's cheaper than dinner. Lol. You wouldn't do that every day, but if you were a baller, you would, but I wouldn't. It is a good pleasure and it is worth treating to learn how the upper echelon of food is. I'm sad. I visited the website to collect information for this review, and the front of the restaurant is an open letter to us saying that this place closes and hear a podcast to explain it. That stinks, but I wish them the best in their next effort. You'll be in my heart forever as my first Michelin Star restaurant.
