You get all different local food in a typical local pub. You can try the saure kutteln sour tripes. The dish consists of washed and blanched rumen or a less adventurous wurst salat with a local beer

Found this place off Trip Advisor. This is a typical authentic German Pub. Service is great. Food is very good. Biggish servings. We would eat here again without hesitation. Recommended if you want an authentic German pub meal

We enjoyed our food, the portions are quite big and the kids loved it too. The lighting really put me off though. The eco bulbs gave everyone in the room that zombie look and the wooden benches are not very comfortable. The staff was helpful...and friendly

We got a recommendation to go to the restaurant by the receptionist in our hotel and we tried that evening but there was a large crowd and we didnt get a table. We thought it must be good with the large crowd and returned the...following day for lunch. The service was slow, took minutes to get a beer. We ordered the food and it was not good, sausages were terrible and the highlight of my meal was the potato salad which was average but still much better than the schnitzel. Overall very disappointing

This seems to be more of a local place where groups might meet up or local card games played out. The atmosphere is simple, but very clean and tidy and welcoming. We found this restaurant in Wangen im Allgau on a cool and wet day. We had been walking around the old town finding the street statues and old buildings that are a feature of the Medieval city that is the core of the tourist attractions...of the city of Wangen im Allgau. Gasthaus Lamm is well recommended in the various sources we referred to and our experience validated the good commentaries. It was close to Christmas when we dropped in with no reservation but the very pleasant staff welcomed us and placed us in a warm room full of groups of locals who were enjoying really good GermanSwabian food.
