"when we drove by car through the village of gnesau, the attractive facade of this great restaurant on the main street inspired us to eat here at lunchtime. only about a third of his large parking lot was occupied. as expected, was the interior of the. same rustic style as the outside, because almost all restaurants look like this in this region. Anyway, everything was in a pretty good condition and the interieur looked pretty. a waitress told us to go to the dining room. there were only two tables occupied, and we could decide on ourselves what empty table takes a place. then we started waiting. only after a few minutes the waitress came into this room, laid the naked wooden table with table sets and took our drink order. one because later she brought us the drinks, but still no menus. waiting for a few minutes, she offered the menus. the most impressive feature of the menu was the fact that it was trilingual, i.e. written in German, English and Italian. so it seemed more comprehensive at the first glance than they were actually. in fact it consisted of some of the classics of regional and Austrian cuisine, which are available in almost any restaurant, but contain nothing creative or extraordinary. most pages of the menu were printed on ordinary paper pieces that were curved as if they had been in use for a long time and therefore looked disgusting. while the waiting period for the suppe was acceptable, was for a main course filled pasta, although it did not have to be freshened, but only heated, excessively long. during the taste of the suppe was in order, the teig of the pasta was much too thick and the filling contained an excessive amount of crimp. Moreover, we have not noticed that in the middle of the summer, when fresh vegetables are abundant, a part of the mixed salad consisted of canned bean salad. Portions were huge and the price level was the same as in similar restaurants of better kitchen in the environment. After we had finished our meal, it took a long time for someone to show up from the personal we could state that we wanted to pay. it almost understands that from this time we had to wait for more than five minutes to get the bill. When we left “Kirchenwirt”, we saw that some tables were also occupied in the other dining rooms. the restaurant was far away. so we didn't understand why the service was so slow."

Wir haben zu Abend gegessen und können nur jedem der Zeit und Lust hat empfehlen hier einen Stopp einzulegen. Die Preise sind normal, das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich.

Heute nach dem Wörthersee zur Turracher Höhe einen Zwischenstopp gemacht. Super Entscheidung, Bewirtung Top, sehr freundliches und familiäres Personal, Essen wunderbar, und das Ambiente mit der Bergkulisse einzigartig idyllisch. Preis-Leistung selten so erlebt. Immer wieder gerne!

Wir kehrten nach einer Wanderung ein, nachdem wir von der Werbung mit den Wildwochen angezogen wurden. Nach einer freundlichen Begrüßung bekamen wir die Speisekarte. Positiv überrascht waren wir vom Cordon Bleu, welches selbst zusammengestellt werden kann. Nicht nur die diesbezüglichen Wahlmöglichkeiten waren vorzüglich, sondern auch das Essen. Der bestellte Wildteller war für eine hungrige Person mehr als ausreichend, möglicherweise wären zwei Personen davon satt geworden. Und das zu einem unschlagbarem Preis. Die Freundlichkeit und der Humor von den Besitzern trägt zur Gemütlichkeit bei. Wir kommen gerne wieder...
