"My favorite meal while in Europe this trip. One of our group called ahead and made reservations, they told the owner that I was from Nurnburg and loved Bavarian food. When we arrived they didn't bring menus instaed said they had prepared a special meal...if that was okay. What a spread with Leberknödel soup, grilled pork shoulder, various wurst, sauerkraut, hand made fresh spaetzle, potato dumplings, and delicious pork gravy. Followed by a number of desserts. Of course the Hofmuhl beer was great as well."

This is an upscale German restaurant with great service and really nice food. It is a little more expensive than other restaurants around, but is extremely tasty and has many choices if you want to try traditional German food! View menu

Friendly service, beautiful terrace. We had smoked trout and it was copious and delicious. We visited in the chanterelle season and they proposed a full seasonal special menu! I had some caramelised chanterelles with vanilla ice cream.

wir waren an 3 Abenden in Folge zum Essen in der Krone. Alle Speisen die wir verzehrt haben waren sehr, sehr, lecker. Der Service im Lokal überdurchschnittlich, sehr flott und äußerst freundlich. wir haben alle 3 Abende nur genossen. Diesen Gasthof können wir nur empfehlen.

The restaurant has tables available in the Domplatz, and in their own biergarten, and inside. We ate inside because of the weather, and it was quite pleasant; uncrowded, not too noisy, perfect for a conversation. The food is predominately Bavarian, which is fine by me...when I am in Bavaria. Service was excellent.
