"The initial welcome here was excellent, and the food (when it came) was fine, but the evening was completely spoilt because they clearly forgot about our order, and then attempted to lie their way out of it. The two meals would not have taken long...to prepare (and they were clearly prepared very rapidly after we complained). After minutes of waiting for a schnitzel and chips and a Labskaus (a kind of corned-beef hash) I asked if their was a problem, and the waiter who up to this point had been only too keen to speak English became quite unfriendly and suddenly spoke only rapidly in German. His colleague then came over to say that all meals had to be freshly prepared, and that the wait was not undue. This was clearly not the case. I wouldn't have minded if they had apologised about forgetting the order and perhaps taken the drinks off the bill but the fact that they just went in to a highly defensive and unapologetic mode was unprofessional and pathetic. Their doors and windows are covered in restaurant awards from years gone by God knows how they achieved them on the basis of this evening."

We ate here few times during our stay all fish dishes were perfectly cooked and all were differently and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely, it's not fish&chips concept. For us, this was definitely the best fish restaurant at the Baltic Sea. Thank you! View menu

We were very good food here! Unfortunately in the season only with reservation to get a place in the restaurant. But you feel very comfortable in the rustic seaman facility! The fish and the shrimp were very good and the service was extremely friendly!! The price is completely appropriate for the portion! Great restaurant, we'll be back!

We had a bit of an awkward entrance here, running into a downright unfriendly staff member at the reception desk. Admitted he changed his way after we bounced back at him and he remained suddenly remarkably friendly during the rest of our stay....Nothing wrong with the hotel room, nothing remarkable either, just good. The low humming air conditioning is very noticeable throughout the building though and even far outside and is only stopped at a bit annoying. Nice, experienced female staff at the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast. By all means walk outside to the left and follow the beach path through the woods for some amazing sights!

"Cutter and Coastal Fish Manufactory, with the largest fish counter on whole rugs, I have to go! I admit that I am currently a little pampered with fresh fish, after all we have just sailed the south-Swedish coast and half Bornholm and there are plenty of really good fish farms and incenses. But the Sassnitz manufacture can also be seen. It is located on the old port and offers maritime flair. At the first moment it acts like a fast restaurant, or like a canteen. You order and pay at the counter and then find a place with your tablet. The place is located next door... or in beautiful weather outside. We were very pleasantly surprised! The dining tables are located in a large space with panoramic windows and views of the port. There are individual niches and compartments and a “open” ceiling under which not only a lot of maritime decoration could be found, but also an old sail of a traditional sailor. Very nice furnishings! All picobello clean! Back to the counter, which is really a huge counter, with a very good selection. Fish in all variations fresh, smoked, processed in savory marinade or as salad and of course fish rolls. Delicious! We chose Matjes, normal and in Bärlauchmarinade. Since I was not allowed to add gluten-containing rolls due to food intolerance, and I had finally thought of taking my own rolls (welded, I asked the nice seller to put the beard liquor on my rolls. No problem until I get to the checkout. The cashier didn't know what to calculate. The colleague gave her the usual weight, which usually lies on a matjes fish bread. (Shouldn't be a problem. She then pointed out to me that this is a “exception” but the boss does not wish this. He doesn't want to bring his own bread. Chief, if you read this, tell me how to handle it as an allergy sufferer? Because you don't have gluten-free rolls! I don't ask, so I'll take one. And for hygienic reasons also welded in the original packaging. Where's the problem? Or should I actually order a fish bun without a bun, and then give it to myself in the quiet corner? Your fish was super tasty, I would also come back – but not without my own! Best greetings from the farmer;"
