Christmas market time. The big and sometimes great Christmas markets in the area are known. We haven't given backnang yet. And afterward, we can also say: we have not missed anything since then. Although in a beautiful and picturesque city centre, he was quite clear and equipped with the usual suspects. Domain: food and drink or otherwise. But before the Christmas market there should be a strengthening. Greek was once again announced. We haven't had any more for a while and Backnang was with us, with this kitchen, an even completely unwritten sheet. Our friend, whose better half was currently living on the Seychelles, accompanied us and was also not absent. By the way, daughters went back. So we stood in front of the former “driving house” and were excited about what would be expected. Well, the entrance was already nice and the “internal life of the house was also satisfied. A lot of space and, what quickly noticed, quite a lot of service personnel. A lot of service personnel. I counted with the lady behind the counter sometimes supported by a master whose 6 in customer contact. What is expected here? Or does something different than dishes have to be washed? I don't know, and I didn't care at that time. When writing, however, I remember the neighboring Asia pearl of it. Managing director wasn't smiling too long ago. But these are only thoughts now when writing the lines. At the time of our stay, I felt comfortable. The guest area was quite appealing and we received a nice table “around the corner” of the entrance area with a finely padded bench and a good overview. I like overview. You can also make foddos. However, the many servicemen disturbed. After some time, however, I had abandoned my barn and heartily crawled on it, supported by my favorite gent, which has now also become pleasantly painful. Buddy sometimes looked a little consternation, but could and can handle it very well. He knows me, and the cards were there, and there was no immediate request for drinks. But immediately a gentleman came to lighter age and greeted us again with a handshake. A nice thing, because the Lord was very pleasant and also destined in handling. These were the other service personnel, but there was a clear empathy for the house. We also learned that the latter was taken over recently and that unfortunately no HP would be available. It should come. The rooms are modern, bright and pleasantly airy. A larger niche to the right of the entrance is continued by a very large counter. Opposite then, a step higher, further guest tables which were optically separated and also left a nice impression. For more attributes concerning the facility I refer to the pictures because the generally understandable words are difficult to go into the buttons. In short, on me it made a welcoming and also so cozy impression. The cards were warned with “greek cuisine”. Yes miracles, but we were lucky. Didn't tell us exactly this kitchen. Before, however, a bottle of water Zagori 1l were ordered to 4.80 , a wheat 0.5l to 3.50 and a Cola 0.4l to 3.20. All this came to the table quickly and well-tempered. The bottle of water is probably an import product. Sensuality is likely to be sought in the desired authenticity or even home-connection. It can't have a taste. There was a good water but there are also such in this country. I'd rather book it as a nice gimmick. Fortunately, the wheat was not imported! The food needed a reasonable time and came to the table immediately in succession. Before there was an ouzo on the house. He tasted good. Before. Okay. Unfortunately, it was mentioned just before the food was rich that it was possible to assemble the salad on a salad counter itself. At times a little clumsy for it, however, the more suitable than that one or other olive or peperoni could be loaded onto the plate. Then something Eissalat could be less involved. I don't think a leg break; the two dressings were usual mediocre. There were also one or other salads and supplements beans, tomatoes, carrots... . But I gave up a potato salad in the Greek. The main foods were right there. I like to eat the salad to the main dish and not before. Others handle it differently. It was good for me. Favourite daughter, of course, once again approved Saganaki 6,30 .Saganaki These came visually very appealing to the table and she was more than satisfied with her choice. I still can't get out of her. Maybe in the future. My favorite genius wish was after the Samo's plate 12.50 Samo's plate? I don't know. Supplements to this of course Pommes and an extra ordered tomato rice 2,50 . To come straight to the rice, she felt it was a great season and was very fond of it. The Gyros was also of excellent spice and optimal consistency. The mixture between pink and soft was very well hit. The liver is delicate and also very finely seasoned. Frauchen was very happy. In the short term we ordered a Zaziki, as there was one serving for the others and not for me. After the first impression at the cost of the outside: Also will have!Zackizacki And the Zaziki 4 came to the table in a beautiful bowl in the form of 3 balls. It was of very pleasant creamy consistency and overall quite delicious. Maybe a little more garlic, but that's a matter of taste. It could be almost impossible for me anyway. With me it was the gyros baked in MetaxasoßeGyros in Metaxasoße actually baked 8. Card, later more, in double sense Like all other dishes with pommes and supplement salad. I can't say much about the Pommes. There were the wide gastropommes which were in a manageable number on the plate. So far so weak.a touch of sadness The cheese on the gyros, unfortunately, is already a bit very chessy. But the gyro like on my wife's plate of excellent consistency and spice. Resch and soft in matching ratio, no cartilage and class of taste. Very happy again! But the metaxas sauce was almost unexistent and therefore barely flickable. So there was a really good gyro with me, but the rest left wishes open. It had nevertheless tasted well, but was not quite the expectant. The lack of quantity of sauce would have been placed if we were finally asked for our satisfaction. Unfortunately, a very vocabulary waiter worked for the conclusion, and I agree that there was no ouzo as a baggage. But I don't know if that's what's going on here. It would've been kind of gloomy. Now I come to slingshot when looking at the receipt. I wrote that the overcrowded gyros should actually cost 8. That's how it was on the map that I had exposed. On the invoice there is a Tiganaki 3 to 13.50 and a Samos plate to 12.50. The Paros.Teller of the buddy 13. Paro's plate also found great love but was not listed or smashed with us. It remains that many service workers do not spoil the porch of the house, but probably the guest's bill. Not that these 5€ would make me poor, but it is annoying then something, as I feel compelled to look back some more detail in the future. "Das Lokal Kunberger in Backnang wirbt mit dem Slogan „Ein Stück Backnang“ und ein „Mittagstisch für Alle“. Die Karte ist kurz und übersichtlich, wie es sein soll. Das Personal sehr freundlich und scheint den Laden im Griff zu haben. Preislich kann man sich nicht beschweren und die Portionen sind sowohl beim Essen als auch bei der Größe der Gläser angemessen. An den beiden Slogans muss sich das Restaurant aber auch messen lassen. Bei näherer Betrachtung der Karte stellt sich die Frage, was genau soll Backnang jetzt eigentlich sein? Hier findet sich die Wildbolognese neben dem Rinderschnitzel und der Currywurst von der Roten. Die Tomatensuppe lässt keinen Wunsch offen und schmeckt richtig gut. Auch der Säuregrad war angemessen. Die Wildbolognese war etwas gewagt in der Geschmackskombination. Hier wurden die Nudeln mit Preiselbeeren und Parmesan garniert. Die Karte wird mit „Quicklunch“ überschrieben. Die eigentliche Karte kann dann nochmals eine andere Ausrichtung haben. Grunbdsätzlich geht es aber wohl um die verschiedenen Gesichter der schwäbischen Küche. Ein „Mittagstisch für Alle“ ist sicher richtig. In der Innenstadt gegenüber des Stiftes lässt es sich aushalten und man kann bequem draußen sitzen. Nur ist der kleine Tisch an der Seite zum Nachbarhaus nicht zu empfehlen, da aus dem Kellerfenster auf Kniehöhe ein feuchter modriger Geruch entweicht. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl für ein schönes Mittagessen und sicher zu empfehlen."

"The meals are much better than the location. I had a kind of Sea Food platter forgot the name of the dish and was completely overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dish served. Unluckily the restaurant is quite old and did...not undergo a thorough renovation this is why it is looking like a traditional German Gaststube rather than a very good Portugal restaurant. Mother is handling the kitchen, daughter is serving the food and the boss apart from having the complete overview is handling the bar. Please do reserve a few days ahead of your visit as there are quite a few Portuguese in Backnang knowing of the quality of food in this restaurant. By the way on the table next to mine they ordered the traditional beef steak on a hot stone should you like a lot of steak this will be a MUST."
