Giersterbrau - Menu

Great cozy atmosphere, very nice food (at times duck, goose, deer). Also highly affordable. Very nice owner (I think it's him) aswell, who also serves customers with his staff. Will come back for sure.

So the children were very ideal for the children, the onion roasts tasted delicious as it should be. the venison fillet for my wife was like no other venison fillet. from the service quickly clean and accommodating I can only recommend the inn.

Through the typical places of Vienna, we had to eat something local and came across this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was abundant at a very good price and we were allowed to charge our phones. Thank you for a great lunch and hospitality.

Eating in a biergarten is always a pleasure, but eating in Giersterbrau is a fest!! The atmosphere was very relaxed, the service was very good and the food was to die for. And afterwards the bill isn't a real shock, eating + drinks with 3 for under 100 euros is very decent.

Traditional ginger and potato soup for starter and then a classic schnitzel - all washed down with a great local beer and lovely red wine. Couldn't have asked for a nicer meal, great service and unbelievably good value with starters at around €4-6 and main courses from around €10. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Some weeks ago my girlfriend my son and I visited that place with the intention to sit out in the beautiful garden, but it started raining .-((. It was our first time there. My son ate a Wiener Schnitzel - an original one from the calve, I had baked mushrooms (Steinpilze) my girlfriend a mushroom (Eierschwammerl) soup and Eierschwammerl with scrambled eggs. Excellent !!!

Not obvious as to where it is at first - but well worth the short walk from the metro. They tend to have two candle lanterns outside at night so you can see them once in Gierstrgasse.The owner is very hospitable and has a huge selection of local wines – 150 in total. The wines are well worth trying as Austrian wine can be exceptionally good and the best is often not exported.The food is all traditional Austrian/Hungarian in origin well cooked and bog portions – so you will leave feeling hungry.

My first time writing a NEGATIVE review. After being given a menu, we ordered. Baked chicken. Fried chicken schnitzel came,. Waiter was rushed and I decided just to eat it. Bill came and we thought it was for the wrong table. We asked the waiter after a few minutes back and forth. He brought us a menu and said we ordered from an old menu with price of 10 euro this new menu now 15 euro.. WOW! Scam!! Also he insisted we ordered And where served veal schnitzel, so now price 17 euro. He was so arrogant and we where exhausted so paid the bill. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

I usually never write a review, and if i do, then only for really good restaurants. I went to eat there with a friend. We only wanted to grab a snack and drink a coke, which apparently was already something bad for the elder waiter. He immediately started to treat us with disrespect and let us wait for more than 15 minutes only for the drinks, after asking for them several times. When they arrived and i wanted to wash my hands at the toilet he disapproved and told me that we didn't reach the minim order to use the facility. I got annoied but stayed calm.
