"around 19:30 watch on Friday 6th after open table booking to find the restaurant in darkness and no signs of life! also there was a woman standing outside and looking devastated when she expected another seven people to join her for dinner! she had also booked over open table. Luckily, as there were only two of us, we could get a table in fego around the corner. open table should not book for this restaurant, like further research on the internet when I found going home that it had abruptly ended juli closed. no good experience!"

I really loved this place! The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and welcoming. It's brand new and truly deserves to succeed. I look forward to coming back soon!

the restaurant was closed without indication whether it was temporary or permanent. the open table should not make bookings if it is not traded or closed for the holiday. we had to find an alternative. View menu

I finally decided to try this restaurant, and I had the crispy salad broth basket. Three words: oh my god! It was absolutely delicious! One of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. The portion sizes were great, and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place without hesitation! Please keep that salad on your menu forever!

After we had booked a table over opentable, we arrived at 7.30 a.m. on the sa. 10. august in walkernut to find the restaurant in the darkness without sign of life. with other words it was obviously closed. as they can imagine, we were extremely annoying. why the earth has taken our booking opentable and confirmed the booking by email when the restaurant was closed? I don't think I can recommend goernut or opentable

"Very disappointing. Our table was on the first floor via a steep narrow staircase. This is not suitable for an infirm or elderly person. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The table settings are nice. One is served with warm, somewhat hard, bread roll and butter. and a small soft roll sprinkled with parmesan, presumably an 'amuse bouche '. Everything is served with a flourish. We each had a main dish, without starter. Servings are small on large plates. My wife ordered one of two meat dishes on the menu sirloin steak which proved somewhat chewy and indifferent flavour. The alternative would have been rabbit. There were two fish dishes which would have been my choice but one with ginger to which I have an aversion which the chef apparently was unable remove. The other fish on offer was coley which is generally regarded as a cheap alternative to cod or haddock. It is used extensively in manufacture of fish fingers. The only other offering was a vegetarian dish with main ingredient of cauliflower. I often choose a vegetarian dish but this was without doubt the worst I had ever encountered. A small piece of cauliflower accompanied by other small, pretty tasteless objects that I could not identify but described as 'nori dumpling, chestnut mushroom, spring greens '. Finally, my wife chose a dark chocolate delice which she pronounced as ok but unremarkable. We have dined in restaurants of many standards worldwide and The Greyhound is both pretentious and for us, one of the worst for food."
