"During our vacation to visit family, we were on our way to dinner when we arrived at the restaurant just as the kitchen was nearly closing. Fortunately, the waitress was very friendly and took the time to ask the cook if he could accommodate us. The service was fantastic right from the start. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous, offering great value for money. We will definitely return!"

Food and drinks: The food was just okay; I've had much better elsewhere. The salad was disappointing, consisting mainly of shredded cabbage and a small tomato—definitely nothing to get excited about.

Family hotel that our group of 36 people hired for a passing meal on our circuit to drive through the Highlands of Scotland. The menu consisted of a vegetable cream and legumes and an abundant main dish with roasted pork loin in its juice and garnish. The service was fast and attentive. The price was adjusted. "I have visited this place several times to use the cafe and walk around the gardens. I have given it 4 stars as I love the concept but really think a few changes could be made that would really make it so much better. The cafe used to have a much more extensive menu, but now it seems to be just salads and sandwiches. With the produce grown in the garden, the menu could be much more extensive and before lockdown, it certainly was. I ordered the cheese ploughmans, which consisted of 4 small pieces of cheese, 2 oatcakes and some olives and a chutney and was priced at £17.99. I felt ripped off to be honest as you could not call it a ploughmans and I felt the price was extortionate for what I received. Moving onto the gardens. These are lovely and well kept, but again overpriced at £9 for an adult and £4.50 for a child. The child’s price was even more inflated considering all of the sand seemed to have been washed away by weather and not been replaced as the area is basically a giant sand pit with next to no sand. I do feel that to keep the locals onboard and not just overprice the facility based on a one time visit from tourists, that if you did a reduced price offer for the garden if you eat in the cafe, this would provide a much better value for money experience. Like I said, I have visited several times, and would use the venue more often if better priced."
