A great merenda yesterday afternoon with my daughter and friend. The service was great and service too. A historical place to visit when in Lugano.

Had read about it and its history in the guide book. Was not disappointed. Place was jammed but our server acted as if we were the only ones there. If you have no will power concerning sweets, stay away:

I had breakfast, the staff was friendly and the omelet was delicious. I heard that panettone bread with chestnuts is famous, so I bought it and tried it. It was a little sweeter than Korean chestnut bread and had a very fluffy texture! View menu

A wonderful and distinctive place located in the middle of Lugano city centre. It is a classic cafe and they have various options for lunch and they have snacks, cakes and sweets. The staff is friendly and I recommend visiting the place.

The place, whose origins go back to 1803, is considered one of the best historical coffeehouses in...Switzerland. I can 't recall any other cafe where I would feel so unwelcomed. When we tried to get there on the first day we had to wait at the entrance without any attention from the staff. We thought that the place is probably full and...waiters don 't have time and gave it a chance on the other day big mistake. There were 3 of us, 2 adults and a child. When we entered they told us that they have only table for 2. Ok, my child and I went inside. We 've been seated at the small table but it was obviously possible to put a third chair to accomodate the three of us. Then the waiter took the order quite quickly.
