"Came to this restaurant on a Sunday evening. Arrived about 6.15pm when we were the only people in. Friendly welcome and good service re drinks and food order. Cobra beer on draught. I had my usual chicken madras and the wife had a chicken rogan josh. My madras wasn't the best I've ever had and my wife said that her rogan josh was hotter than expected. Good service and nice surroundings but the food was a bit different to what we are used to. However the wife's chicken tikka starter was excellent."

Excellent meal had here on Monday 18th September. Good menu choice. Food very tasty and fresh. Excellent service by our waiter who was very polite and friendly. Would definitely visit again if we are back in Nottingham.

Six of us had a meal on Saturday night and the food and service was outstanding, we come here often to sit in and have takeaway but this was by far the best ever, we are not surprised it was as busy as it was with food of this standard.

Ordered from here for the 1st time last night and I will definitely be ordering again. The food tasted great, it was piping hot on delivery, portion sizes are generous and the lamb I had in my tikka was very tender. Couldn't complain about anything. 100% recommend

Always sceptical visiting Indian restaurants outside the big cities. They tend to be a bit lame. Not in this case. Gurkha Express was a pleasant surprise. Great decor. Attentive staff and the food was absolutely top notch. I had a chicken tikka vindaloo with a side of lamb chops and pilau rice. Great portion of all including the rice. Pretty hard to fault. Took a bit of time to come but as it was great no complaints there at all.
