"Attended without a booking tonight as a group of 7 adults 2 children as we previously visited another venue and was turned away. The lady manager on shift i believe her name was Tash was so welcoming and was able to sort us a table out within 15 minutes of us arriving even tho it was very busy and had a fair few big bookings seated already. We visit here quite regular and can not fault the food or service provided by the whole team, we are always made to feel welcome and never had any issues regarding food or service. Thank you for a brilliant evening we will be back very soon! xx"

Mark served us during Friday night dinner when my mom and I had a great time. The salad bar was fresh and well-stocked, and our main courses arrived promptly. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. View menu

Well where do I start I came to harvester on Sunday midday , upon arrival I was greeted my Michael that kindly stated who he was and his role. He made sure my food/drinks all came on time without any hassle at all. Me and my mates are so happy we decided do dine here and we will DEFINITELY be back. Amazing food/drink. Visited The Beacon for dinner on Sunday We were greeted by very friendly staff. We asked to move tables to one closer to a window/door due to the heat- this request was sorted Our order was taken promptly and the food was delivered really hot and in good time. Nothing was too much for the staff Our lovely waitress Lexie was happy, friendly and helpful Very friendly atmosphere in the busy restaurant

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
