"We hadn't been to Hayward's for years, actually forgot about it. So decided to pay a visit. Had the lunchtime surprise 4 course meal. The food was beyond expectations, each course was sublime don't want spoil the surprise by revealing the actual courses), balanced, well presented and delicious and good value for money. The service was attentive. The wine, had a bottle of Torrontés which was excellent. This restaurant is miles better than some of the well known expensive names in London. Will definitely revisit."

my third time here on Wednesday evening from service to eating 10/10. fine wee to go with the fine food every penny thank you. next you have to try the lunch menu by far the best place to eat in essex!

Great place and food was outstanding. 10/10. Service was on time and friendly. Fine dining at its best for essex. Just needs a little updating inside with decore and stuff still 9/10 .Absolutely food is out off this world

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Haywoods. Everything was perfect and not at all rushed which is such a failing for so many restaurants these days. The attention to detail was second to none. We finished the afternoon in the Forest Gate inn which is two steps away ….. A lovely day was had by all four of us !!

I have a friend for her birthday. we visited on Friday night and chose the 6 cursor tasting menu with wine pairing. the food was delicious; very well presented, spot on aromen and technically excellent cuisine. the wine pairings were new and complement the eating perfectly. service was good; friendly but not too intrusive. there were long delays between some curses that we do not make out, but this was not recognized by the team. overall a great experience and I look forward to a soon return.
