"After calling the restaurant to confirm the full menu was available we arrived slightly bemused to find there was only a limited choice of meat on the menu and no venison. My partner and I ordered cocktails. My partner had a martini which was just a rather large gin which he couldn't drink. Starters was prawns and scallops. We got three each. No bread to accompany either. Portions were far to small. Given the £8.00 charge.. Tommohawk steak to share with the one portion of chips and a vine of tomatoes for £65 which was way overpriced for what we got.Rhubarn and apple crumple was rhubarb with a crumb. Sprinkled on the top. Summed up a night of complete dissapoitment. I would not go back here and do not recommend anyone going there unless they have money to burn."

Lovely dinner, we had the pork, the duck and the lamb, such an exquisite experience, all produce is locally sourced. Fantastic host!

Found this place by complete chance and was blown away by the quaintness! Food was mouth watering. Portions perfect! Can’t wait to come back when we can sit inside too.

Great restaurant, fresh ingredients really good service and delicious selection of food, highly recommended! Owner may sell up and close soon so make a booking before it closes a must try!

Excellent food: few courses to guarantee freshness and quality. A chat, a good glass of wine and you return home with flour milled on site. Places like this are, unfortunately, increasingly rare. A place that warms and is good for the heart. View menu

What a little gem this restaurant is!! The food was amazing. Unfussy well portioned good ingredients cooked well. Loved the ambience and the personal touch of our hosts chatting to us thought-out the evening. I could not fault it and will be visiting again soon. Thank you

Such a fabulous find on Open Table. It's like being abroad in this courtyard. Food is wonderful and the service/chat with the owner very friendly. I had monkfish and my bf had steak both delicious! We also loved the prawns cooked in butter with spring onions and chilli's could have ate them all afternoon Very highly recommended and such a cute dining location

This is by far my favourite restaurant. The food is always full of flavour, I absolutely love the venison and the home made gravy! The hospitality and service here is second to none, Will is a fantastic chef and host. I highly recommend a visit for anyone wanting good quality food and service; country dining truly at its finest. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and I cannot wait to return! View menu

Wow what a shambles. Dining in a poly tunnel is definitely a first, then the limited menu of one fish one pizza and one steak. Ok lets go with it but I expect a brill meal for £8.50 scallops (2) and £26 small monk fish in batter!!. Not cheap. V average. Waitress was in a dream, forgot cultery on the three table I saw, sauces late to tables, meals not served together. They only had 14 covers and she said they were busy! Manager pleasant enough. Gawd knows where these reviews were from?? Wont be returning.

Owner very personable but that’s it! Table set in a poly tunnel, no heating. Food very expensive, 5 choices, 2(of 3) steaks not available. Waited 45 minutes for starter, dippy waitress didn’t bring cutlery, had to hunt around 10 minutes for it. Noted exactly same on other tables, one waited 15 minutes for their steak sauce. Told by regular it was rough and ready?? 2 scallops for £8.50 isn’t rough and ready prices!! Steak was going to be another 30 minutes so we left, others around us were complaining of similar delays and were contemplating same. I can only question whoever gave this place 5 stars??
