"We booked this on the basis of reading all the reviews across Epping facebook groups and was honestly looking so forward having seen some images of the outside dinning and the “smoke house menu” sadly This wasn’t the case. 1. We turnt up to a...completely empty restaurant (Saturday night) 2. Wasn’t offered a drinks menu, they stock 1 bottle beer and we waited about 15 minutes whilst the lad serving us tried to find a bottle of wine. 3. No music or atmosphere just the sheer silence of an empty restaurant and we could just hear the chef chatting away about his personal life 4. Asked about the smoke house menu and we was given the al la carte which was completely different and had nothing of what we had seen on it. 5.Ordered pigeon for starter, really tough and bland 6. Didn’t have any sharing steaks so went for fillet. Had to send back as it was cold and way too rare for what I ordered. 7. 2 more tables joined later on but what was infuriating was that one table was relatives of a staff member and just had the owner and another random guy sitting around drinking, talking (even swearing) just not comfortable dining. Overall we are well and truly disappointed. To pay £100 for poor food, in basically a rich mans shed is just not on. We could have gone miller and carter, had twice the amount of food for half the price and had a better night."

After we had received a booking confirmation from the open app, we took a taxi to the restaurant and when we arrived there was no sight of living, no lights and everything was locked and closed. we tried to call a few times and listened. the voicemail. complete disappointment and wasted of time and money.

the standard restaurants and bars in london are absolutely brilliant! the dach is amazing after living in london over 40 years, it rivals the postoffice tower that is no longer open. the personal is perfect. friendly efficient. shout after jacob D.J for their extra-perfectness! 3 times there in 2 days, and look forward to it to a regular london hangout.

Such a fabulous find on Open Table. It's like being abroad in this courtyard. Food is wonderful and the service/chat with the owner very friendly. I had monkfish and my bf had steak both delicious! We also loved the prawns cooked in butter with...spring onions and chilli's could have ate them all afternoon Very highly recommended and such a cute dining location

Wow what a shambles. Dining in a poly tunnel is definitely a first, then the limited menu of one fish one pizza and one steak. Ok lets go with it but I expect a brill meal for £8.50 scallops (2) and £26 small monk fish...in batter!!. Not cheap. V average. Waitress was in a dream, forgot cultery on the three table I saw, sauces late to tables, meals not served together. They only had 14 covers and she said they were busy! Manager pleasant enough. Gawd knows where these reviews were from?? Wont be returning.

Owner very personable but that’s it! Table set in a poly tunnel, no heating. Food very expensive, 5 choices, 2(of 3) steaks not available. Waited 45 minutes for starter, dippy waitress didn’t bring cutlery, had to hunt around 10 minutes for it. Noted exactly same...on other tables, one waited 15 minutes for their steak sauce. Told by regular it was rough and ready?? 2 scallops for £8.50 isn’t rough and ready prices!! Steak was going to be another 30 minutes so we left, others around us were complaining of similar delays and were contemplating same. I can only question whoever gave this place 5 stars??

After we called the restaurant to confirm the complete menu, we were easily arrived to find that there was only a limited selection of meat on the menu and no venison. my partner and I ordered cocktails. my partner had a martini who was just a pretty big gin he couldn't drink. starters were garnel and skallops. we have three. also no brot to accompany. portions were far too small. at the fee of 8,00 €. tommohawk steak to share with the one part of the chips and a winery of the tomats for £65, which was for what we had much overpriced. rhubarn and apfelkrümel was rhubarb with a crumb. sprinkler on the top. a night full of contempt. I wouldn't go back here and recommend no one to go there unle...

I had been to the Cart Shed two years ago and when my sister-in-law decided to get married last minute after lockdown I recommended it to her. I was so happy I did as it was perfect for a wedding reception with the current 15...people limit. They let her decorate it in advance and have the whole place to ourselves all afternoon and evening. It was just the right size for the amount of people and so lovely we could have it to ourselves. The food was amazing and Isobel, Rachael and the chef catered to every guests’ need. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly for a wedding reception in the current climate. 15 was just right, anymore and it would have felt too cramped. There was even room...

have heard about the cartshed from people and had mixed reviews . since covid you can only dine outside . booked for a saturday night hoping the weather was going to be ok . tables are under a gazebo and each table had a firepit...by it in case it got chilli later on . firepit was a must later on as it got a bit cold and was also offered blankets . food all cooked on a smoke house which gives it that extra flavor . all the staff were very friendly and couldn't help enough . had starters and main course which was lovely and well cooked . cocktails were lovely especially the mojito . one small little thing was they only sold one brand of beer which was peroni . apart from that we had a great e...
