"My dining experience at this restaurant was limited due to dietary restrictions. I was the only vegetarian in my group of friends, but my friend who booked the table was informed of a good vegetarian menu. I started with the potato and aioli dip, which was pleasant but the potatoes were a bit greasy and crispy. My husband had the gammon, which he found dry, with chips, egg, and pineapple but no other sides. My friend enjoyed the fish. The vegetarian options were the typical 5 bean chili or Fresh Spaghetti with Tomato, Peppers, Caper Sauce, and basil. The portion size of the spaghetti was huge, enough for a family of four, but it was bland and soggy with no other flavors. There were no additional sides like garlic bread or salad provided with the dish, which was priced at £14.50. The service and atmosphere were good, but the restaurant is not ideal for vegetarians and definitely not for vegans. The menu lacked creativity and variety beyond the usual options for vegetarians. Overall, while the restaurant was nice, the limited menu for dietary restrictions left me feeling hungry and disappointed."

Our trip was a disappointment. The food was mediocre, the room was cold and unwelcoming, and the prices charged high.

Always have a great time at the thatchers. Great atmosphere (especially the tables of people situated on the front of the pub) lovely food and the friendly and helpful staff cannot do enough for you.

We visited this restaurant for the second time and once again, the food and service were excellent, just like our first visit. Last time, we celebrated my mom's birthday and this time, it was for my sister. The menu offers a variety of dishes that are all well presented. This charming English pub in a lovely village is highly recommended for a visit. Thank you. View menu

A pretty pub in a lovely village. We ate there three nights and the food was great. The staff, mainly young, were friendly and attentive. The menu includes standard pub grub but also threw some curveballs. The Thai curry was pronounced delicious and very spicy! The scampi and chips were well cooked and plentiful. The portion sizes are large so I ended up choosing starters as a main. The Korean fried chicken was great! I would certainly recommend this pub!

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I was searching for a fantastic local spot to dine at, with delicious food and excellent service, and this place is perfect for us! Despite being quite particular, I can't find any faults here and honestly wouldn't want to. The food is consistently cooked to perfection and the portions are generous. The staff are warm and attentive. The establishment is clean and cozy. The Sunday roasts are particularly popular and reservations are necessary. The restaurant always has a steady crowd, indicating they are very well-managed. Bravo and thank you for numerous delightful meals.

"The Green Man at Linsell is a charming pub located off the beaten path that almost meets expectations. The pub's decor is lovely and you'll receive a warm welcome from the attentive front-of-house team. It's a step up from your typical pub, with white tablecloths and napkins that elevate the Sunday lunch experience. Getting there may require navigating through narrow single-track roads with the help of a somewhat confusing satnav, but there is ample parking available once you arrive. The drink selection is standard pub fare, though the wine list appears reasonable. For our meal, we both opted for the beef Sunday roast. While everything was cooked well, the dishes lacked seasoning and punch to truly elevate the flavors. One dish that stood out was a broccoli cheese concoction that seemed odd and wasn't to our taste. For dessert, we tried the crumble and brownie bake. The crumble, advertised as apple and blackberry or blackcurrant, felt lacking in the black element, resulting in what appeared to be a purple apple crumble. Despite these drawbacks, we cleaned our plates and left feeling satisfied and ready for a post-meal walk with our dog. The bill came to £30 per person, drinks included, making it a reasonably priced Sunday lunch option. Overall, The Green Man at Linsell is worth a visit for a leisurely lunch in a pleasant setting."
