"Kindness, patience and really good food and service. Pre-booked a quiet table so my family, including my dementia affected 77 yr old Father, could enjoy Sunday brunch and paint a bit of pottery beforehand. The service, the kindness, the humanity, was a treasured delight. Of course the pottery painting is fun too and our 7yr old daughter was matching her granddad brushstroke for brushstroke! The brie ham and onion relish toasted sandwich was delish (not my first time), Mums chicken caesar wrap was a triumph and everyone said what a truly delightful time we all had. We’ll done the team at Chameleon Cafe *applause*"

This restaurant is perfect for both kids and adults. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the painting experience is a lot of fun! It's also a great spot for hosting children's parties.

what a beautiful place to relax and eat to go. we spent 4 hours without going pressure. I started with a blue cheese salad that was delicious, then paint a plate and a solid 3 hours just chill and paint. I would definitely go back there

absolutely loved! with my grandchildren and employees were brilliant. the menu has many choices from normal sandwiches to the meals, drinks and whispers. I had the braut ,ham and tweebel relish foccia, which was beautiful! They can book a table in advance if necessary, would highly recommend if in dunmow!

very nice visit, propa cozy little caffe. really friendly and very courteous with the small with high chair and booster. the breakfast was a good standard, decent sausage etc. They will literally make everything for a child area that was a nice note. the baby chino was a massive hit! visit them here next time in dunmow.

We enjoy going to the Chameleon Cafe for a quick coffee, a meal, or some pottery painting - sometimes all three! The owners, Alan and Deanne, are delightful and always go above and beyond for their customers. They create a welcoming sense of community in their cafe. We can't wait for summer when we can enjoy the beautiful garden and street seating, but for now, we are loving the cozy atmosphere during the winter months.

"We have lived in Dunmow for 25 years and have always visited this pub through its various ownerships. We had not been for a while, until after I had a life saving major heart operation last year and this was the first place we chose to go for breakfast when I came out of hospital. We have continued to go since then on a regular basis and it never fails to satisfy. We have always been served by Lorraine since the first day we went and she has been fantastic. Last weekend was a year since I had the operation and we chose to go back for a small family meal to celebrate the success of the day. Well what can I say, my wife had other ideas and with the help of Lorraine she organised a surprise gathering of family and friends in a cordoned off part of the marquee with buffet. What made it even more special was that they don't normally do a buffet on a Sunday as it is normally roast dinner only. After Lorraine explained to her manager the importance of the day she was more than happy to help make the day happen. For this I am really grateful, and despite not getting the steak dinner I thought I was having it was so much better. Thank you to everyone involved as I know the organisation for this on a day you would not normally do it would have been a challenge. We will continue to go for breakfast whenever we can and hope that Lorraine is always there."
