"Enter this place for lunch with a couple of friends- We sat in a cold place below the ventilation and ordered the Hema Breakfast and Vegeterian Breakfast- After mn wait I have asked the waitress where the order was- She responded: we are busy...in the kitchen So sorry its coming She forgot to put the order through as there was a few customers who were served before us even if they had ordered after us- Finally the food did turn up after mn Waiting that long I was expecting something very special on the plates. Oh well it was far from special- The home made beans advertised on the menu) were in a very small tin- there was about and very dry you will need a toothpick to find them) The haggis was an insult for the Scottish food culture (dry as a stone The sausage were very small and poor quality (they looked like the Iceland bargain special offer The toasted white bread tasted and looked like some old frozen bread (the emergency ones you might eat once a years due to global warming). My friend and I almost chocked eating this food- I suggested: Maybe we should have ordered the special Romanian Red Wine at pounds a glass as they kept asking every minute would you like to order a drink Or the tempranillo pounds as well you will find in Scotmid at pounds a bottle. What a place!"

Hemma is a very confortable and tasty restaurant. Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. You can enjoy so many different food. The menu indicates what's vegeterian, vegan or gluten free and I appreciate that. Nice staff as well!

Would definitely visit again next time I’m in Edinburgh! Great vegan and gluten free options and friendly staff! Location is also great as it is a short walk from Arthur’s seat so you can have a hearty breakfast beforehand or treat yourself after to great...meals

the staff was super friendly and fast with our order and the food arrived immediately. the decor is very quirky and the music is fab. there was a lot of choice (without the menu is endless) and I can highly recommend the veggie croque monsieur. absolutely delicious! although I was very satisfied with my choice, there were many other things on the menu that I would like to try. I will try to go back here if I visit next in edinburgh.
