Herings im Martinswinkel

Nice small place with an ample situated along the riuver bank and about 10 min from the Catherdral. Warm and freindly. The food is valid and the servings are quite big. Well served

Das Restaurant ist sehr zentral gelegen in der Innenstadt mit einem super Blick auf den Rhein. Die Terrasse lädt zum gemütlichen Sitzen im Freien ein. Die Karte lässt keine Wünsche offen und die Austern waren absolut frisch und sehr gut.

Very welcoming staff. We had the excellent fish soup to start with. To follow I had the three herring fillets in batter the last one defeated me! My wife had pan fried with bacon which she said was decidedly tasty. A very good start to our long weekend in Köln. View menu

We tried the trout. Taste was ok but i was not impressed (probably i was used to the Mediterranean quality for fish).Still there is more to be tested in the menu before making a proper evaluation about the place.The atmosphere and location, on the other hand, is good.

Wir waren hier zum Mittagessen zu dritt. Für den kleinen gab es die selbstgemachte Fischstäbchen die absolut klasse waren. Die Gerichte waren lecker und schmackhaft. Zu empfehlen sind als Beilage die Bratkartoffeln. Das Lokal ist urig und sehr gemütlich. Das komplette Restaurant machte einen sehr sauberen Eindruck. Die anwesende Bedingung war sehr freundlich und ist super auf den kleinen eingegangen.

Wir wurden schnell und höfllich bedient. Der Heringstopf war ein richtiger Gaumenschmaus, genau wie früher bei Oma zu Hause. Unserem Sohn gefiel ganz besonders der Backfisch. Alle unsere Speisn hatten einen sehr guten Geschmack und wurden schön angerichtet serviert. Dieses Restaurant kann muss man weiterempfehlen. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Köln werden dieses Restaurant ganz sicher wieder besuchen. View menu

Cet établissement est très bien situé, dans le centre, tout près de l'église St Martin, dans l'une des pittoresques maisons anciennes et étroites bordant le Fischmarkt, avec belle vue sur le Rhin à 50 mètres!Personnel aimable et arrangeant.Le restaurant est surtout spécialisé dans les plats à base de poisson, et notamment de harengs (délicieux quant à celui que nous étions plusieurs à avoir choisi!), mais on y trouve aussi quelques "classiques" de la cuisine allemande (porc, saucisses...)Bref, une bonne adresse!

Impossibile non notare i tipici edifici colorati che si affacciano sul Reno durante la più classica delle passeggiate e altrettanto carino il locale ospitato in una di queste casette che offre, finalmente dopo tanta carne, anche un po' di pesce! Il menù è in tedesco ed in inglese, il titolare è davvero gentile e disponibile e, con i suoi consigli, ci ha evitato di prendere un piatto che dalla descrizione in inglese credevamo fosse tutt'altro. Abbiamo scelto: trota con patate lesse ripassate nel burro e insalata condita con salsa di yogurt, ben cucinata e dal sapore delicato, nonché aringhe marinate nella mostarda e poi fritte con contorno di fagiolini, cipolle e patate ripassate in padella,...

spiego il perchè del titolo. Da casa, leggendo le recensioni du Trip, mi ero segnata 4/5 posticini per una cena tipica a Colonia. Ore 19.00 del sabato sera (sapendo che i tedeschi mangiano presto) già tutto pieno ovunque...rimbalzati praticamente in tutti i locali (salvo mangiare all'aperto ma viste le temperature abbiamo decisamente evitato). Un po' scoraggiati, siamo arrivati in questo posticino a Fischmarkt, locale piccolino, con una decina di tavoli, arredamento marino..eppure devo dire che abbiamo avuto una piacevolissima cena.
