"This restaurant is tucked away, quite far from the city centre, but it is definitely worth taking the effort to find it as the food is simply fantastic. There is a huge array of dishes to chose from, including many seasonal dishes, so there really is something for everyone (don't let the name "Fischhaus" fool you into thinking they only do fish dishes - this is definitely not the case! There was also a kids menu). The menu was so diverse that it really was tricky to make a decision as it all sounded so great - the perfect excuse to go back! :) From the "Herbstkarte" (autumn menu) I had the pumpkin soup followed by pork medallions with seasonal vegetables - simply delicious!! The atmosphere is also great in this restaurant - candle-lit tables create a cosy feel to the place, topped off by a fireplace. The staff were also very friendly. The prices are excellent considering the high-quality of food. You pay around about the same price you would in the tourist centre (my 2 courses and a drink came to around €23), but for a much higher standard of food. So if you want to treat yourself to some real local grub, Fischhaus is the place to do it!"
