"On Nov we were seated in the Herdfeuerraum (the room with the hearth), according to our reservation. We had the table right in front of the fire, the location was very nice. We ordered an aperitif drink, the Geese Menu a bottle of wine...and water. The food was alright, but nothing special, so it was kind of overpriced. The skin of the geese meat was everything but crispy, it was soft and fatty and not edible. What I want to tell you about is the unbelievably lousy service that makes this place an absolute no-go. Firstly, only one of the aperitifs was served. Then, we had to get and pour the wine and water ourselves, although it was obvious even for the service manager, but she didn't care. In between the meal, we said that we wanted only one dessert to share. Don't think the check was reduced by a single cent. We had one more digestive drink before the check arrived, again only one drink came, second was forgotten. When we gave the service manager our feedback, she said it was due to new workers, not experienced blah blah.. As a guest I'm not interested in these flimsy explanantions. There was no excuse, a drink on the house or such. All we could do was cut the tip to zero. If you visit Münster, don't go all the way out to Handorf for this pseudo-upscale place. Stay in the city center, there you will find more than enough restaurants that do a way better job than Haus zur Linde."

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Schon aufgrund der grünen Umgebung ist die Atmosphäre ruhig und entspannt. Das Essen, ganz besonders das Dessert war köstlich. Auch der Service war aufmerksam, hätte etwas zügiger sein können.

had spent a night there. everything was as stated on the homepage. room very large, friendly. property very nice. breakfast. cleanliness left nothing to be desired. everything in all I can recommend the hotel very much. especially since it is in the best priority business .- and conference hotels!

OK so if you are on holiday, this place will make you feel like it is a destination unto itself! The old building and grounds are just perfectly German, beautiful and lovely gardens! Granted it is OLD, but thats all part of the charm! The...food and service at the restaurant were all top notch, would for sure go back next time!

Beruflich als Trainer dort. Mittag und Abendessen super, Kaffee bei der Tagung sehr bitter, Frühstück überschaubar. Zimmer sind der Wahnsinn, ganz toll ausgestattet. Hotel ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Mitarbeitende alle nett, Tagungsbetreuung hätte etwas besser sein können. Mittagessen gab es erst ab 13 Uhr, was unseren Zeitplan erschwert hat.

We have dined here many times and have always had a wonderful experience, unfortunately the hotel is undergoing a restructure and the dining room is now in a large function room away from the main building, fine for weddings but not for a cosy Sunday...lunch. Sadly the food quality was very poor too, hard and chewy goose liver is not something I would ever want to taste again.

Meine Frau und ich hatten über Ostern ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Zimmer in diesem wunderbaren Hotel gebucht. Schon der Empfang war sehr herzlich und angenehm. Wir waren sofort von diesem Kleinod begeistert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut, das Personal sehr höflich und professionell. Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet. Das Romantik Hotel Hof zur Linde ist sehr zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum Stammessen. Täglich wechsendes Gericht mit Vorspeise oder Dessert und ein Hauptgericht. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service haben uns nicht enttäuscht. Dazu ist die Lokation draußen und drinnen einfach traumhaft schön. Der Hauptgang, hat es nicht mehr aufs Foto geschafft. Aber das Dessert. Sehr zu empfehlen auch Werse Sunset mit Picknick. Einfach, lecker und ein wunderschönes Ambiente.

Ich habe mich hier während eines mehrtägigen Seminars sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Herauszuheben ist das Niveau der Küche und der herzliche Service. Die Lage an der Werse ist toll, das große Grundstück bietet viel Raum. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und sauber, insgesamt aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Da keine Klimaanlage vorhanden war, war es bei warmen Außentemperaturen leider sehr warm dort. Die Seminarräume sind ansprechend und die Möglichkeit, zum Essen draußen zu sitzen war herrlich. Frühstück eher durchschnittlich.

My wife and I always end our annual business/driving trips to the Cologne/ Dusseldorf area with a couple of nights at this hotel. It really is a superb experience. Located a short drive or cycle ride into Munster, and an easy walk into the small...town of Handorf. The hotel is located on the bend of the Werse river with lawns leading down to it. Try to get a room. or suite, at the rear of the building overlooking the river as the view is delightful. We have limited German, but this has never been an issue The rooms are traditional, spotlessly clean and well furnished with all the necessary accessories.
