"We were here for a work dinner on a weekday so half the restaurant was empty. We were seated at 18:30 and our food did not arrive until 20:06 ! . We did get some appetizers earlier, but we had ordered our food well before 19:00 so there was no excuse for this. Actually, the wait staff gave the following excuse: you are 12 and you all ordered different dishes so it takes a while. In reality, we had ordered about five different dishes since several of us had the Wiener Schnitzel and others also had similar dishes. Worse, they completely forgot one of my colleague's orders so that colleague had to wait another 20 minutes for her food. The wait staff did not learn from this and proceeded not to take notes about our dessert orders either. Yes, it's our fault that we even bothered ordering dessert. She got the dessert order wrong, too. Additionally, the seating was uncomfortable. And the Wiener Schnitzel was only so-so. There are way better versions of that dish elsewhere in Zurich. I'm giving it a 2 instead of a 1 because the appetizer with the sausage was delicious. But there is no way I am ever stepping foot in this restaurant again and nor will my work group."

After a long stroll in Zurich, we unexpectedly found this gem in Zurich Oerlikon. We would have never expected to eat a Schnitzel in par with one in Vienna. Highly recommendable.

I was here for a business lunch the restaurant is modern and nice, just in front of the 11 tram stop Bad Allenmoos Food is high quality, for sure the highlight is the (huge) Wienerschnitzel not cheap but fair! View menu

We were warmky welcomed in a white and bright interior. The menu card has a variety of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The schnitsel was the best I ever had, somewhat crispy with an excellent taste. We also had the lam, beef filet and a mixed grill of fish all perfectly done and fulk of flavour. There is a wide variety of austrian wines and we were very well recommended by the lady of the hause with an excellent merlot. We definitely will come back here to enjoy the warl athmosphere created by the owners and definitely for the excellent food just to mention as well the excellent closer of the evening with the Kaiserschmarren as desert. What a brilliant dinner experience.

Advertised as the first Austrian restaurant in Zurich, they obviously want to live up to their slogan. And they do in many ways. Theres Schnitzel, Topfen, Strudel, Krapfen and so on. Noteworthy is that there is also a fine Austrian wine selection and Austrian beer. Service is good even though there are people who would call it slow you shouldn't be in a hurry for good food though... The quality of food here is very good (the schnitzel was a bit on the dry side for my taste, though , even though you can't get fries. What needs to be said is that helpings are not as large as you would expect in an Austrian restaurant and neither are the prices as low as they are there (and I don't think that t...

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
