"I have been visiting Il Paiolo pretty often in the past one year and they never failed to please me! I have mostly been there for business lunch but I suggest to keep it among favourites for a nice dinner. The location is a bit...unexpected for an elegant restaurant but it serves me pretty well as it is close to my head office. This restaurant offers a great variety of fine dishes, the menu is updated almost daily and dishes are good combination of nice presentation and Italian good taste! You can experience both traditional as well as creative dishes, the management has an eye for seasonal ingredients, which is something I do appreciate a lot as it shows the care for the freshness of the ingredients. The price is a bit on the higher side compared to average italian restaurants but the quality of food makes it value for money in my point of view. They can serve vegetarian dishes as well (better if informed in advance), as I have taken few vegetarian guests to them and looked to be pretty happy. The staff is very kind and helpful and remembers their guest tastes as dislikes. A very good selection of wines and liquors is available to properly accompany the meal. Definetly suggest to pay a visit or to take guests here as it is hard to be disappointed!"

One of the best restaurants around, BUT you have to let Alvaro (the owner) suggest it. The wine and spirits selection is spectacular, the food is innovative but still follows ethnic and cultural roots. I'm almost speechless. ENJOY.

we happened by chance but we were satisfied. great service. We took red wine from the house not bad. excellent cut appetizer. 1 spaghetti with a rock and a magnet. both with fresh fish and full mussels with excellent smell of bread. Good focaccia. two coffee and two people account 53€. We'll be back.

Il Paiolo has a nice ambience and offers an interesting menu. Service is very good and very friendly. The owner takes a special interest in each visitor, knowing how their similarities differ to ensure everyone has a great time. I highly recommend this place for... dinner. It's one of the best restaurants in Italy. It is a family restaurant, the owner prepares new very economical menu for every two weeks. Meals are high. In Il Paiolo I ate fish with squid for the first time. Everything is unusual from appetizer to desert... including delicious wines... The owner is very nice guy who loves to talk about food. I love Il Paiolo. Typical in this area on Mondays the restaurant is closed.

I didn't expect such service and delicious food in a rural restaurant. My experience last Sunday at Il Paiolo' was amazing, the menu was varied and inviting. I started with what I'm passionate about: a truffle-based starter of scallops with sea urchin sauce,...with white truffles, a great match between the fish and country delicacies. As a first course I had fresh pasta (fettuccine) with porcini mushroom, and as a second the host, Alvaro, remarking how much I liked truffles, prepared a surprise: a juicy meat steak fully covered with truffles again! Incredible. Last but not least, I had to try the restaurant's panettone (typical Milanese Christmas sweet). I'm not a fan of dessert but this pan...
