"Been here twice. First time absolutely loved it, food so so delicious. Staff lovely. Second time they clearly had booked too many tables and not had enough staff in. We waited quite some time to be asked about drinks and poppadoms. Once these arrived, a little later they took the food order. We then waited close to an hour for the food to arrive, by which time some of us were past the point of being hungry any more. We had also finished our drinks and asked three different members of staff if we could order more. The food then came out and we were halfway through by the time the drinks came, when we maybe didn't need them any more. I had a prawn dish which came out lukewarm. Then it took us a while to get the bill, and again we had to ask several people if we could please pay as we'd been in the restaurant for around 3 hours and had somewhere else to be and we're already running late. Eventually we were told to go downstairs to pay. We had such a lovely first time which is the only reason I've kept this at 4 stars. The second time was a 2 star experience."

Really nice and different menu from the usual curry house, very tasty food and especially pleasant waiters, our orders took a little longer than expected to arrive at the table due to staff shortage but we were informed of this but we didn't mind as it was worth the wait. Will come back when back in Cirencester

What a fantastic find! We ordered several plates off menu, we asked for things to be made vegan, we could not have hoped for a better dinner experience. The staff are all incredibly kind and so nice and accommodating. We were left speechless by the service. The waiting staff are all so great! Highly recommend finishing off your meal with a coffee delicious! The spinach saag bhaji was the star of our night, could not recommend enough xoxo

Stumbled on this place while on an evening walk in Cirencester. Ordered some takeaway and this place hands down probably had one of the best tasting Indian meals I have ever had. I asked for disposable cutlery and there was none on hand (not a big deal …so I left and had walked easily 200m+ when the fellow at the front desk came running after me to deliver some disposable cutlery he had got for me. I guess they they do care that much about their customers :

Been here many times previously and it's always been good food and welcoming. Tonight we had a pre booked table for 8.30 and arrived on time to be seated at reception, twenty minutes later we were still sat here without even being offered a drink or any acknowledgement whatsoever. At which point we left and dined elsewhere. We will not be returning here, I appreciate it was obviously a busy night for you but don't take the booking if you can't fulfill a service let alone make us feel like an inconvenience for being here.

Tuesday, party of 11! waiter had blundered our order up leading to a 2 hour wait, finally when the food arrived, a few of us were missing food items which led us to wait while others on our table dined, food finally arrived after my friends had finished, it's a shame because the food was outstanding but the service was absolutely shocking! A table full of chefs is probably the worst clientèle to disappoint. There was a couple opposite us who had waited over 30 mins for their order to be taken until they actually walked out and had the staff chasing after them to return !!! Embarrassing! Prices are not too bad but no free poppadoms? really? Food great, service terrible.

Very good choice of starters, mains etc and good vegetarian selection. Nice atmosphere, very pleasant waiters. Seated really quickly, asked about drinks and poppadoms before we'd got chance to settle, felt a little rushed. Didn't have to wait long for food which was very tasty and everything nice and hot. A couple of areas we felt could have been better. Once mains served we weren't asked if everything was ok, did we want any more drinks or would we like to see the dessert menu. Also a little surprised at the cost of the poppadoms and dips. £1 per poppadom and £3.95 for the pleasure of a few spoons of pickles and yoghurt! Would visit again if we were in Cirencester but would not allow oursel...

Tasty food and conveniently located, but we had a very odd interaction with the waiter that left me feeling quite upset. When it came to collecting the menus from my family and I, he stated that he was one menu short. He wasn’t we had each given a menu. He went to look around the table to find it. It wasn’t there, obviously. And he said it would turn up (which I’m sure it will as we handed it over). The tone was accusatory and left us feeling uncomfortable. When he came back to the table later I asked if it had turned up and he again doubled down that he would find it in due course but that cutlery etc often ends up under the table or lost. We spent over £100 in total and, as I say, the food...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
