"I stayed in Hamm a couple of weeks ago. I used the location as a base to visit other large nearby towns by train and Hamm was central to these destinations. I only ate in the town on a couple of evenings, firstly at a...cheap pizza imbiss type place on the other side of the main square in front of the station but the other time I fancied something a bit better so chose here. I found Hamm to be a somewhat strange town. Whilst I was there during the day it was a regular lively place with lots of people going about their business and using the good selection of shops nearby. However come the evening the place appeared like a ghosttown with hardly a soul around. During the time I was in this restaurant I think I was the only customer there! I'm afraid I'm not an adventurous eater so whilst the menu I was offered had an extremely wide choice of dishes on offer, also taking into account that I don't speak the language, I went for a simple schnitzel meal with fries. I had some salad to accompany it and for me it was just right. It was a good hot meal, prepared quickly and washed down with a couple of nice glasses of cold beer. I treated myself to one of the ice cream options from a limited dessert menu. So to sum up I was more than happy to have eaten there and would say you couldn't go wrong in choosing this restaurant"
