"The tea room coffee at this hidden gem in Ripley is truly a special find. Tucked away in the back of a garden shop filled with vintage treasures, this cozy cafe is worth the search. The decor has a charming shabby chic vibe, with mismatched furniture and an assortment of unique gifts for sale. Despite its off-the-beaten-path location, the prices are reasonable and the quality of the drinks and cakes is top-notch. The menu offers a variety of coffee options, as well as a tempting selection of cakes, cookies, and slices. You can also enjoy simple breakfast and lunch items, as well as cream teas. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly service and clean facilities. Although access may be challenging for wheelchair users, there is outdoor seating available. Overall, this quirky and unpretentious cafe is definitely worth a visit. Open Wednesday through Saturday, it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious treat. Don't miss out on this charming spot!"

Located at the rear of the Jack in the Box emporium, this cozy tea room is perfect for enjoying a cup of tea and some homemade cake after exploring the vast selection of items in the shop. Definitely worth a visit!

If I ever visit a tearoom in Ripley, it has to be Jack in a Box. I love that they serve tea and coffee in old china cups. The service is great, they have a brilliant selection of cakes, and the lunch options are nice. I will definitely be visiting Jack in a Box time and time again.

Have been here several times and always been delighted. It is down a little street opposite the entrance to Wilkinson's. The cakes are to die for and everything is freshly prepared. The prices are very sensible. A look round the shop with its variety of old and modern and a trip to their tearoom makes for a very pleasant outing. Give it a go next time you visit Ripley. You will not be disappointed!

Fascinating shop with vintage childrens and adults gifts, antiques, cards, jewellery and furniture with a lovely little café set right in the back. Served on vintage china, there is a selection of delicious cakes, panninis and toasted sandwiches. The beverages are scrumptious-tea,coffee and if you aren't on a diet- the most sinful, delicious hot chocolate! Facilities are clean, card games available to use and friendly staff. Try it- next to the interesting Depledge and Woods, down the cobbled courtyard .

Spent a fabulous five hours at this lovely tearoom with some of our friends from Doncaster! On a previous visit (we 're Ripley locals) I 'd noticed that they had an updated version of 'Hotel ', a game that my friend and I used to play together as kids and it 's tricky to get your hands on! As a surprise, we got them to Jack in a box and then asked for the game. (One of many games they have set aside to play in the tearoom). My friend was so excited, we had a lovely early lunch first and then got the game ready, having drinks (and beautiful cake) throughout. The staff are friendly and helpful and are running a fabulously quirky place! My friend had an ace day to remember oh and the girls beat...

"we enjoyed another very pleasant dinner at the Dog’ in pentrich recently. it is a very civilized but relaxed escaping area, and the type of place where people are miles for, for the culinary experience traveling and with good ground. eating is good. the dining room is spacious, contemporary and beautifully furnished with a relaxed ambiente. also the adjacent bar area is very cozy and cozy. we were warmly welcomed and immediately shown on our table. the service was attentive and pleasant, without being overlaid or intrusive. our meals were very pleasant and we enjoyed the selection of things we had (start, head and dessert). However, it seemed to be some unconsistencies with a portion size. with the appetizers the leek and the potato portion was very small a piece laek about two centimeters long filled with cheese and in a sea of sauce to convey the grasp of “more”. the crispy szechuan cauliflower and aubergine, on the other hand, contained large parts of the two components of the teller. similar to the net, the green thai chicken contained three very large portions of huh in different shapes: a large chicken breast as the main component of the Thai chicken shell, accompanied by a huge serving of shredded chicken in rice, and a huge Bao beer filled with a large piece of baked chicken. while the various components were delicious, it was just chicken overload, almost like three main dishes as one, and much too much. the same applies to the puddings we have chosen. the dog inn trifle was a huge bowl with lemon-rossel sponge, with white chocolate-creuzard, and celestial gel and sorbet. the yorkshire rhubarb cheesecake, on the other hand, was a very small roll of cheesecake with a puppy game of rhubarb sorbet and a few pieces of poached rhubarb. our meals were certainly delicious, and we enjoyed them. the hanger steak was cooked nicely after a discussion about it; it was clearly stated on the menu that the hanger steak was ‘Served ‘Pink or well Done’, but we were informed that it could not be ordered well. which condition is then on the menu? the dog is worth looking. it is in the beautiful and historical village pentrich, on the b1016 between the towns ripley and alfreton in derbyshire. we're coming back."
