"Had lunch with friends here and found the food to be of high quality and a reasonable price to for the area. Allergen information is well listed on the menu and the chef was happy to change my friends ordered dish to accommodate her. Wasn't a really warm day so we sat inside. which was a shame because the outdoor area looks very good. Pub is atmospheric and they let us use the pool table for free. Overall enjoyed and the only slight negative was the place was showing signs of general wear and tear. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!"

Rude and ignorant staff. Very expensive. Locals and friends of staff have normal priced drinks whilst visitors are ripped off.

My partner and I fancied an ice cream after dinner so went to Captain Jacks I had profiteroles and he had the Jacks sundae! Both were so tasty and well presented!

A fantastic old pub with great food! Atmosphere was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful. A free pool table, Christmas lights and Christmas music made for a lovely time and good atmosphere!

A lovely spot for lunch. The menu was fantastic for catering for dietary requirements. I have a severe food allergy and they were more than willing to customise a meal to allow me to eat this with my allergies. A free pool table topped off the experience for my partner. Will definitely be back!

I went here with my family a year or so ago and 2 years before that and I loved the atmosphere, the team were lovely and friendly. The food was brilliant! I’m gutted that I’ve come from wales to visit again and it’s closed for maintenance until the 10th Feb. Hope to try visit again next year now View menu

Nice Saturday lunch in Captain Jacks. I had the Garden Vegan Burger and my wife had the Falafel Salad. Drinks were good, the pub had a nice atmosphere and service was great we asked for some olives in the salad and they were kindly provided. The specials looked good but as we were walking back to Croyde we just fancied a light bite.

Our 7yo asked if she could write a review so the following is from her! I love captain jacks because their sandwiches are delicious. I had a cheese sandwich and it was nice. The bread was soft and tasty. Mummy had a fish finger sandwich, daddy had houmous and grandad had ham, egg and chips. We all had empty plates and will definitely come back again soon.
