"Presentation is an important part of cuisine, as the way food is served to you has a profound effect on your appetite. Jarit, Milan has taken the idea of unique plating to the next level, by delivering gourmet meals to your table, office, or home in convenient, sustainable, and recyclable glass jars. Each chef has a signature dish, so it’s as if the restaurant has captured the unique palate of the preparer under glass. I decided to stop at Jarit for lunch, and was immediately impressed by the way the restaurant was designed to mix modern appeal with an at-home ambiance that made the whole place feel very classy. The server was extra-friendly, and made a great recommendation of the Cauliflower of Gresta Valley jar, with salty and crispy bacon and monkfish that mixed perfectly with the creamy texture of the steamed cauliflower. I also tried the aubergine parmigiana jar, with ripe red tomato sauce and a blend of parmesean cheese that compliments the meaty vegetable perfectly. Served in glass jars, I was surprised at how the vessel forces the flavors to mix, creating a whole new taste experience. Any good lunch can’t end without sweets, so I chose the pear soft cake, spiced with a dash of cinnamon, excellent against the sweetness of the fruit. I took a jar of the Bavarian honey shortbread crumble to-go, to enjoy as a snack later. And I’m glad I did! Sweet, succulent, and delicious. A real treat in a jar!"

Very pleasant setting. Hospitable and friendly staff. Great for a lite breakfast/coffee or more substantial food lunch/dinner. On a quiet corner just a stones throw from the uni building. Recommended View menu

Great concept with food in jars from Italian chefs which was really delicious. The wine is also excellent. Love the interior and very kind staff as well. Hidden gem near Duomo recommended for dinner. Loved it.

Jarit is a restaurant where they offer quality dishes already ready (NO POT COOKING) and preserved in vacuum jars. Excellent idea for the take way. I didn't like the idea for a restaurant because you have the idea of reheated dishes even if the dishes I tasted are excellent. The menu consists in pre cooked dishes served in jars. They are heated for the serving. The ingredient combination is very interesting. I was there with my wife and it sounded a smart innovation in food cooking. It seems however that in the process some of the flavours are lost. The setting is very simple but with a touch of class. It is worth to go because it is a nice idea and there might be improvement. View menu

This restaurant serves meals in a jar. They are developed by famous Italian chefs and are super-delicious. The portion size is quite enough for an average woman. Might be small for an average guy. Restaurant is very close to the Duomo but still off major tourist area and reasonably priced . A real refreshment compared to all those horrible tourist traps scattered around Duomo. Interior is hip and modern, service English -speaking very attentive and helpful. Very pleasant experience for me.

"Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d 'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let 's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the Cantiam la montanara where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with The navel of the world , a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor."
