"I ordered food through a food delivery app, but after paying I received a notification saying that deliveries were suspended. I called the restaurant to offer to pick up my order, but the person I spoke to explained that they only had one delivery driver and were only delivering locally (I live in Audley, so I'm not sure how far he considered 'local' to be). I placed my order at 4:30pm so I thought I had given them plenty of time. However, the person on the phone told me they already had 10 orders to deliver and were busy. I told them I was not in a rush and asked if I could come and collect my order, but they refused and rudely stated that they only delivered locally. I suggested meeting the delivery driver somewhere closer to me, but they were still very rude and aggressive. It seemed like they only wanted to select customers themselves and were not willing to compromise, even when given alternative options. They mentioned that the refund would take 3-5 days to process (probably longer due to the bank holiday). My order was close to £40. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from there again."

Upon receiving my food, it was only lukewarm. When I called to express my dissatisfaction with the meal, the person on the phone was rude. They claimed it couldn't have been cold, but I had specifically ordered it with juice which was missing.

Joyous feast is located in kidsgrove on the main road near to tesco and the train station. I have tried all the chinese restaurants in the local area and joyous feast is the best for freshness and the use of quality ingredients. You can telephone orders for collection or delivery, the food is very tasty and is very good value.

We have had a lot of chinese food, both in restaurants and takeaways. this takeaway does the nicest food we have ever had in any chinese establishment anywhere in the UK. The food always tastes fresh and not fatty like some other takeaways we are vegetarians and the staff always please us and are happy to customise anything we ask for. Highly recommend this place above any other chinese in Kidsgrove or nearby. View menu

After a 3-4 year break following a previous disappointing experience, we decided to give The Joyous Feast a try again. Our Chinese food was delivered promptly within the promised half-hour by a friendly driver. The chow mein was delicious, but unfortunately, there was a lack of pork as there were only a few very small pieces. The satay dishes were disappointing, with a bland gravy and no discernible taste of peanuts or spices. Both dishes tasted the same, lacking the fragrant flavors typically associated with satay sauce. Joyous Feast kidsgrove, I normally order from here, it’s normaly really good. Ordered from burslem 4miles away from kidsgrove. I ordered my food, it took my money out my account. It said expected 40 minutes wait. It got to 20 minutes and it said my order was here. Which is wasn’t. Tried to call no answer, so I started a chat with the online system, they rang and the person on the phone answered and said they had cancelled my order, will put the money back in with 5 days.
