Kartoffelhaus Nr.1 - Menu

Haben da zu Abend gegessen. Sehr lecker und die Kartoffelpfanne mit Spiegelei war absolut preiswert. Bedienung war sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Well it does not even deserve a star!! We have just left the place (5/10/22 @18.50) because the waitress behaved horribly and explicitly said that he is already busy with serving customers inside so he cannot come out and serve outside... unrespectful...horrible ...

I like the food at Kartoffelhaus very much. It's one of those places I keep going back to. I especially like their pfanne and auflauf which are very German but not the cliché schnitzel or sauer kraut. The atmosphere is casual/cosy. The service could be...better but it is what it is.

8 years ago, but came back because of the good memories. eating is good, great variations of the dishes, basic ingredient is obviously kartoffel, but combined in a set of different possibilities. fair prices, cozy place and friendly staff. also very well located...in the main square of jena View menu

Bei der Kartoffel kann man wenig falsch machen. Insbesondere die thüringischen Gerichte sind grundsolide und traditionell gemacht. Die Preise sind angemessen, das Personal neigt ab und zu den Überblick zu verlieren. Drinnen sitzt man gemütlich, draußen mit sonnigem Überblick über den Markt.

Locale veramente carino, in pieno centro, con un servizio ottimale... Ma le aspettative che mi ero creata, purtroppo non sono state rispettate!!Abbiamo ordinato dei piatti unici di carne e come contorno c'erano le patate al forno ma purtroppo non erano buonissime, sembravano riscaldate. Peccato!!! Ottima la birra!!

This restaurant is informal and situated on a square (with Christmas market when we visited). Staff were friendly and helpful and of course spoke excellent English, handy as they only had one old English menu between the six of us. Food portions are large, so...be aware! Lots of meat dishes, but fish and vegetarian options available good value and good beer too! View menu
