"Ordered two breakfast one big and one small for my partner. Anyway the breakfasts came on app area very wasn’t very appetising until I looked closer I took a bite of the bacon and it was absolutely swimming in grease and fat and tasted inedible it wasn’t even cooked and looked like it had been microwaved. I cut one of the sausages open and it was literally rock hard on the outside and touch in the inside like it had been left for ages and reheated under a grill it was absolutely shocking. Me and my partner didn’t eat any of it, it was absolutely shocking and they could seriously make someone ill serving that. I honestly would not give that to a dog. It’s definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had and been had served to me. Just look at the pictures of the bacon and the sausages you will see that it is seriously gross. I even felt sick for a couple of hours and had stomach cramps only from having a bite it tasted really strange and not right. I was very angry after paying £14 for that absoluteMonstrosity the cappuccino I ordered was fine but it’s not hard to get that wrong or bad. But seriously this place need inspecting from the food standards agency they could make someone seriously ill."

Popped in for lunch during a visit to the market. Very busy (always a good sign) but no problems finding a table. Had the Mediterranean meze fabulous. Staff worked off their feet but always pleasant and sociable. Next time we're in Bury, only 1 place to go!

The owner (I did not know this at the time), was both rude, aggressive and impatient towards his employees in front of a long line of slow moving customers. How embarrassed did I feel for my business associate! The employees are under so much pressure they made mistakes and become impatient with impatient customers. The shop is untidy.

If you don't know Bury, this place is an institution. We came at luunchtime and it was very busy, but a table was free so we had coffee and a meze sharing platter for two. It was all good. The service in a bit disorganised stand in a queue at the counter to order, get given a number and the waiting staff wander around shouting out the order number. But it;s a busy cafe, not the Ritz! Liked it, all in all

My fiance and I visited Katsouris Bury on Wednesday 28/4/21 for lunch. Although the cafe was full we managed to find a table. We ordered two cappuccinos (good price and generous portion). I had the halloumi wrap and my fiance had an omelette with cheese, tomato and mushrooms. The food was really nice and we were surprised by the fact that although people were qeuing to order our food came pretty quickly. Service was surprisingly great, the waitress brought us condiments as we asked for and she was all possitive and helpful despite the busy hours. She even suggested us places to visit in Greece since we consider going some time soon. Thank you Katsouris for the fab food and Ana for the great s... View menu

Made a rare visit to Bury on Sat with my husband, Mum teenage son, found ourselves in the market area for a late lunch decided to revisit Katsouris, having eaten here a few years ago. Yes it 's pretty chaotic standing in the queue to order you 're never quite sure whether you 're going to get your correct order but somehow they manage it ! My husband enjoyed his half hot turkey stuffing sandwich, my son loved his halloumi, ham tomato one, my half hot beef fried onion was good though the beef was a bit chewy. Unfortunately my Mum 's jacket potato with cheese was cold though she didn 't mention it at the time as she doesn 't like to make a fuss. Her lemon cheesecake was nice as were the lattee...

Better staff for a start.its not all about how quick you can serve people its about making sure that each every customer gets good service.instead of rushing around trying to get the food out you might want to make sure that you take the time to get the food right paying attention to detail the food is served properly.i came for the first time today will never go back.i had the lamb mint sandwich it was really good untill itook a second bite found a big peice of string in it then i opend up the rest of it to find an even bigger peice of string in it.it totally put me right off it.what if a child had it choked on it ???? So i took it back asked for a refund from a very rude member of staff no...

"Well, it 's been a while since I 've reviewed a place but this little gem has certainly reawakened my vigour for it. Visited this evening as a kind of belated birthday celebration with my husband and son and very glad we did indeed. We happened upon this place a few weeks back (passing by and grabbing a cocktail after the days plans fell through and instantly took to the place and it 's wonderful staff and from the off had intentions to visit again an so finally did tonight), within seconds of seating ourself at the bar we were remembered by the owners, which to me shows great calibre on the customer service front. As someone with an exceptionally sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol it was our lucky day to find they had cocktails on 2for£10 and hell can the owner Jo mix like a minx (even doing us an off menu blend to account for tastes). The husband not being a big drinker happily sat at the bar chatting with staff and customers nursing his Peroni whilst me and my son dived headlong into the extensive classical and modern mixed cocktail list. Having been lured into great expectations (previously sampling delicious tasters) from Jo 's lovely husband Dave on our first brief visit we were definitely eagerly placed to dive into dinner tonight. Our lovely waitress Sian, stood patiently while we chopped and changed idea 's and orders, laughed with us, checked regularly everything was to our tastes as did the other young waitress that dropped drinks over to us. Both girls portraying the perfect mix of friendly and professional, a refreshing change to be served by people that clearly enjoy their working environment. And on to the food... we started with olives (and boy was it a substantial portion in comparison with some establishments weak efforts), hubby was first in there, impressed with the quality of marinade (too many places these days forget the little efforts like this thinking folk can 't differentiate something tipped out of a supermarket packet). After much debate (I had my eye on far too many dishes) choices were made, Hubby had the Filo Kefta, which had a light pastry, adequate spice and smoothly complimentary dip, for main he went with the day 's Special of Lamb with fondant potato, heritage carrots and a divinely velvety Jus which he thoroughly enjoyed (and he 's hard to please, being well versed himself and making a point of getting the lovely Chef Darren a glass of wine in appreciation). The lad had a Sirloin steak burger cooked medium rare and is now demanding we visit again soon. lol I went with the Gravlax to start, instantly aware of the clean flavour from its curing cutting through (I even brought a titbit home for my kitty to enjoy), as for main, I 'd initially had my mind on fish but upon discovering the owner Jo was also a blue steak lover I had to try one there and wow they really take care in choosing their suppliers because that was an A grade cut of meat, even my son (who prefers medium-rare) upon trying a slice said it was an exceptional piece of meat I had it with asparagus, no sauce and swapped out the chips for a feta/pepper bowl which worked perfectly as did the glass of Shiraz that Jo picked out to compliment it for me. Genuinely I can not pick fault (read through my other reviews I write honestly, pick fault where warranted and compliment where due). Had this lovely little find been in our usual local it would surely become a regular haunt ours for sure. I would 100% recommend this place and extend our gratitude to all the staff for making our entire visit memorable and perfect."

"We were in Bury for a few days visiting family and the weather was beautiful , we live on the Wirral and frequently visit Brasco lounge in Liverpool of the same chain , which we love. We actually visited Racconto lounge 3 times on our visit , first time we had a brunch of bacon and egg muffin , which we really enjoyed (although the bacon was very salty) The next day we came back and had a lounge breakfast , and the following day we brought my husbands mum , and drank cups of tea while resting from shopping . We enjoyed all the meals , and its lovely inside , although we ate on the terrace in the sunshine and we found all the staff very pleasant and friendly . But..... we had 2 things let it down for us . Firstly on each occasion , the service was extremely slow, when we had breakfast , it wasn't very busy , but we waited ages , although our tea was brought out well before the food , meaning we then had no drinks to go with the food . The second problem was , after waiting ages , we had to send the breakfast back as it was really cold , and it seemed like it had been sat waiting , almost as long as we had , the bacon on both the breakfast muffin and the breakfast was really , really salty also. None of this would put us off , as we enjoyed the dining experience overall , but if you are in a rush , i really wouldn't recommend eating here , as the wait was alot longer than expected every time ."
