"my man and I usually don't take a taxi when we go to dinner. konoba pescaria was worth the taxi ride and then some. our evening meal began with a funny bouche....a big shovel fish mousse. the only objection we had was that we made it with the homemade brot and lost some of our appetite. next we share a warm octopus starter, probably the best otopus we've ever eaten, served with greens, cherry tomatoes and kartoffels. our main course was a full, filled bronzino with Swiss chard. the fish was perfectly cooked, but also sharing, there was too much for two people. next visit we will skip the lunch completely and yes, we will be back."

My husband and I NEVER take a taxi to a restaurant, but Pescaria Konoba is worth it. Simply put, their warm octopus starter is the best in the world. The bronzino was boned for us (big plus), and the owner recommended we order chard for the veggie....perfect!

Konoba Pescaria is located in a suburban neighbourhood near Westbanhoff - convenient to our hotel. It appeared that most of the customers were tourists like us.As other reviews have noted, it's not cheap but the seafood is very good quality. Having also visited the markets, it is obvious that seafood is much more expensive in Vienna than many other parts of Europe so this obviously feeds into the price.I enjoyed a John Dory fillet - well cooked and a good size and Sally enjoyed her grilled calamari.With deserts, some drinks but no wine the bill was 82 Euros.
