"My business appointment in Mittenwald was faster than I thought. So I had enough time to go up to the Luttensee and park my car for a fee in the parking lot of the ski resort Kranzberg. Rasch, the shoes changed and we go. My goal was the Korean hut at 1200 meters altitude. The way requires a lot of things, it goes on as we say in Bavaria. It should be hot, steep and sweaty, but it is worth it. Depending on the degree of fines, one is droben in about half an hour. In winter sports it is only a stone's throw away from the mountain station of the ski lift. I'm sure hell is going on here. A hut like a home movie Not today. It had recently stopped raining, and accordingly I did not meet a human soul on the way. From time to time, I had to stop to get air, I'm really gloomy. The Corona registration list is open before the entrance to the terrace. Of course, this is not at all, and I would be interested to see if a guest has ever entered his data correctly. In addition, after the injury, this handle is not a mask wearing the second largest display in the Corona regulations. In front of the entrance is the list, tja....; from the entrance of the terrace there is mask duty, and you should wait until you are placed. It is beautiful here, really cozy with the many wooden tables and the stunning views of the valley. The service in the cowardly dirndl was flashy and friendly, the farm dog was lighted with the tail to greet, and there were only five guests present except me. A wonderful rest was over the terrace. a very cozy terrace and a friendly house dog The menu is really exciting. In addition to the hut siblings such as browned liver cakes with defensive roast potatoes and fried eggs € 13,90 and the inevitable cup of homemade coffee not from the can! Gulaschsuppe € 5,60 there are “for those who have found nix” Schnitzel Wiener Kunst with Fritten Frites € 13,90. This is not hidden behind the oven, but probably a homemade **** with roast potatoes and onion ring € 13,90, Bayerische Bruschetta three rubers dachi with marinated tomatoes, original parmaschinkens and parmesan € 14,90 or two homemade. Spinat Kaspressknödel on freshly fried Mediterranean vegetables and Parmesan € 14,90 And – look at this! Also vegans are thought: Mediterranean vegetables with rosemary fruits € 13,90 . The prices I find for a cottage, also with the drinks, is everything in the green price range: a white beer for 3.90 is ok and a Haferl Cappuccino for 3.50 is also not cheaper in the valley. After time, my attention was on the homemade cakes. The rash for raspberry gave the vanilla pudding layer between fruit and grape vinegar € 3.50 and a large glass of mineral water also 3.50. And guad was him, sauguad!! I love grape vinegar soil and the combination of raspberry and vanilla pudding was irresistible: and also to free the wide view of the valley. Until Mittenwald was Ach until Austria. I would have been almost invaded; but the steep way down to the car made me ask for the bill. There was no oral “7 Euro”. From a height of 1000 meters, credit is out of force. Look! Homemade raspberry cake isn't that nice? On the way to the clean toilets I went through the not very large guest room that looks like you imagine a cabin in the mountain. View into the interior Conclusion: If you do not shy the ascent, you will be rewarded with a super-hospitable terrace, great views and good food. And whoever smells, the rust! Let's go. Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, in bad weather is already early."

We have been in the middle of the forest for many years because we really like it here. A constant is the Korbinian hut, which simply deserves the 5 stars! Great food big portions and a wonderful view! It just fits everything!

A beautiful cottage with magnificent views of Mittenwald and the Tyrolean mountains. There are traditional dishes such as cashpress dumplings, ruber dachi or shepherd monkboards. The self-made blueberry butter milk is particularly recommended.

Beautiful cottage with the sweetest hut dog, which surely leads the most beautiful life there for a dog on the hut. The cottage is after a 20 mint (but steep! Ascent from the top parking lot to reach. You can also walk from the village. Upstairs are greeted with a beautiful view, coffee, cake or a selection of lunch options. Corona directives are also very well adhered to, unfortunately, not the case at any hut.

"I admit to being biased. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the options for German food are not as extensive as I would like, and I'm surprised that these days they haven't yet found a way to charge you for water and...cutlery. When I dine at a place like Postkeller, the value is just off the charts. There is almost a full menu of dinner options that cost less than an appetizer at some of the restaurants I visit back home. The portions at Postkeller are quite generous, and the food is very flavorful and delicious. And then there is the beer. Oh, the beer. In the San Francisco Bay area it is hard to find a taproom or brewpub where you can find a pint of draft craft beer for under often than not, you find a ounce pour of some beverage with odd fruit and spice flavors for At Postkeller you will have a wide range of beer choices for well under Euros for a half liter, and a number of options for under Euros. If you come between PM you can get a full liter of one of their beers for Euros. There are some good options to choose from. My wife and I went the other night. I tried two of their Edel Märzen beers. They were Euros each. My wife had the local Mittenwald Dunkel. Just terrific beers. My wife decided on a lighter meal, or so she thought. The omelette with mushrooms and cheese had to be at least three eggs. It came with potatoes and a side salad. This was under Euros. I had the Schweinshaxe (pork hock) with an extra salad. Those two items together were under Euros or less than at current exchange rates. You wouldn't be able to touch that price in the Bay Area. Places that do offer the dish back home don't produce a meal nearly as good. The total tab was under Euros. You are hard pressed to get two burritos and two agua frescas in the Bay Area for this amount. It is just a phenomenal value. I've spent over on dinners for two at home that weren't half as satisfying. There are many other restaurants in Mittenwald that serve similar food. I have been to quite a few of them. All of the ones I have tried serve excellent food at a similar price point, so if you are in the mood for traditional Bavarian food, you have many options. I will just say that all of them are excellent, and it is one of the reasons I have come to Mittenwald for over fifty years. I'm hoping I can make it over years."

"We have learned that quite a large fraction of the restaurants and businesses in Mittenwald take their vacation in April or May. As a result, many of the top rated restaurants were not open. We got lucky with Gaststatte am Kurpark. It reopened on our last full day on Mittenwald. The dining room was largely empty when we arrived, although there was a table of regular customers in the back. The waitress was very friendly, delivered menus, took a drink order, and then brought us our drinks. Since the menu is quite extensive and in German, it took some time to translate the options from German into English and explain all of them to my wife. After a considerable wait, which the waitress apologized for, we ordered. The Tyroler Speckknödel soup was something I wanted to try. It was good, but not something I would likely order again. The dumpling was a bit on the dense side for my taste. My wife ordered one of the beef steaks. It was very nicely prepared, very flavorful, and accompanied by crispy frites and a green bean and bacon vegetable dish. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I similarly enjoyed the pork schnitzel, which was done gypsy style, with a mushroom cream sauce, and accompanied by farfalle that was a bit overcooked for my taste, but still quite good. The mixed salad that accompanied the dish had nicely contrasting elements and was quite tasty. Overall, I thought both of the lunch dishes were nicely prepared. As we lunched, some local residents came and were having a wedding celebration. It became clear that this restaurant has a strong local following. Service could have been a bit more attentive, but considering that this was the first day back, I can understand that there were a few glitches and an urge to spend a little time with regular customers. I suspect that if we came back tomorrow that that aspect would have improved. As it is, I hope to return during my next visit to Mittenwald and feel comfortable recommending this restaurant to anyone wanting a lunch or dinner of local Bavarian dishes. It was also one of the few we have dined out that had fish offerings. There are numerous beers available, and also some wine offerings"
