"On a rainy afternoon after work, I walked to the cafe which I had recently read about. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, but the sustainability message appealed to me. It was about 10 minutes from my place of work and I had walked around the area before, but I had somehow missed it. I was pleasantly surprised by the little garden alcove that serves as the entrance to the cafe, although I imagine it is even nicer when the weather is sunny. My immediate impression upon entering was how cozy the living room-like setting was. When you first walk in, there are an assortment of vegan and sustainably-sourced products including clothing, food and jewelry available to purchase. After I walked past the store, I walked up to the cafe to take a look at the various cakes available. (The dinner menu looked delicious, but I was only trying to get out of the rain and get a little work done.) I ordered a black currant-chocolate shortbread cookie (about the size of my out-stretched hand, so it was a good size) for less than €3. The cookie was so delicious that I would recommend it non-vegan friends as well. There was also WiFi access (WLAN) so I was able to enjoy my cookie while I worked for about 30 minutes. Overall, it was a welcome shelter from the rain and I plan on returning again often in the coming weeks."
