"I rarely write reviews of restaurants unless it's truly outstanding. We were the only ones in the restaurant - another couple was leaving as we were entering. We both got the set menu and a side of snails. It's about 30-35 euros depending on the options you order per person. Excellent value in my opinion. They certain don't bring the food out quickly. We were there for around 2 hours and 15 minutes for the 3 courses, olives and bread, snails and wine that we had. I'd usually find this annoying, but everything was so lovely you don't even notice. Everything is cooked fresh. The waitress would ask if every meal was fine and good. The ambience is lovely, the food is cooked to perfection and flavours (rustic french homestyle) were delicious. It really was one of the best meals I can remember in a long time. The wine list was very reasonable at 20-50 euros per bottle. Most around 20-35 euros. The menu also comes in English which was good. Grappa and candy served at the end."

Ideal if you are staying in the Europe Apts next door. Very welcoming and very good food but they don't take credit cards.

I reccommend the signature dish, the snails, but maybe share a plate between 2 as they are very rish. The food here is great and so is the atmos, which is relatively rare in my experience.Thumbs up, big time

Moderately price, small and intimate restaurant. Plan to spend a lie surely evening as all food is prepared to order. The entres are plentiful in size and come with many perfectly prepared vegetables. Both the pork roast and lamb Osso Buco were delicious. The chocolate mousse was divine.

This is the place where a local friend proposed to me so that you can't find tourists here. The food is amazing! Staff super friendly (although they do not speak English). The menu is in German (but Google translator can help). This is the place for slow food, so forget about the hours and enjoy a great experience. You do not accept international credit cards.

Have had often a meal in our extended kitchen. The food (Sizilien cousine) is always freshly prepared with regional quality ingredients. Martino the chef can prepare a meal according to the desire of his guests. He is extremely flexible. Our favourit is Mussels prepared in Sizilien way. Since 4 years we are regular guests of L'Escargot and we have never been disapointed.

came by chance over this restaurant when they stay close, but definitely back. small, intimate, calm, colorful paintings on the walls. menu in german such a guesswork in our choice, but everything was delicious. exceptional appetizers with a wonderful mix of aromen, really good and. substantial main thing. Limited menu, but good value. cooking the duck and lamb was perfect, but the vegetarian in our party was also very happy. finished with brilliant chocolate mousse and perfect cream brûlée. it takes time, but an evening full of joy guaranteed. they must confirm their vaccination status, but our English formulas were accepted at the end, helped to have a German speaker with us. one of the be...

I have been to this cosy restaurant many times during my long stay in Berlin. The food has been invariably outstanding, of the highest level one might expect at the most exclusive restaurants in Europe. The location around the restaurant is not anything special but the ambience inside the restaurant is very pleasant and relaxed. Evey dish is apparently prepared individually with great care by the chef, who is willing to address occasional special wishes or preferences. The only drawback is that the service is very slow; you should expect to wait about 45 minutes for the first dishes to arrive, but otherwise the service is very friendly. In short, if you have enough time and you are not too i...

Visited yesterday after I noticed their Web Site, very worthwhile getting to this remote (away from the City Center) cozy bar/restaurant in Berlin.Of course had to try the escargots. They were different but very tasty and not the regular "rubber band quality" alot of restaurants serve with too much Garlic, these were extraordinary good.Tried the Salmon dish and was happily surprised an excellent dish too. L'escargot has a fine selection of wines, a pleasant atmosphere, down to earth friendly service and you get personal attention from the owner/chef at the table. It was another pleasant experience in Berlin. I can highly recommend this place. When in the city you have to travel there by U-Ba...

We stumbled into the L`Escargot on a short trip to Berlin. Our place was in the Wedding and we were looking for a place to eat. After strolling around for a while we arrived there at 21.00 and asked for a table. The place is very small and probably it´s better to have a Reservation. The waitress told us, we could get a table only if we would be patiently waiting for our Food because the Chef makes it fresh. That was ok with us. The entree came pretty quickly, I had a salad with goose liver which was just fine. For the main course we waited about an hour, which was absolutely ok too. The (russian?) waitress was not really friendly, but after asking her twice for an extra wish, we got that too...
