"We visited the restaurant on Friday evening without a booking, the place was buzzing we thought we won't be able to get a table but the owner found a spot for us and squeezed us in, he literally made us feel like home, all staff was very welcoming and warm. The food was just amazing and full of flavours, the portions are generous too, definitely worth every single penny. The variety of dishes is superb, everyone will find something for themselves. Definitely highly recommended. Thanks to all Gurkha kitchen team, front and back, for making our evening so special, we will definitely be back!"

"The dumplings were over cooked and not very tasty. The sauce on the salad was heavy and left an aftertaste Service was not attentive we had to work quite hard to catch the waitress attention for some sauce and then the bill. I came away disappointed which is not usual as before I have enjoyed the food and the service has been good. I have said yes to recommend below as previously it has been OK so hope this is just a bad one off"

"Having visited the Joshua Tree prior to it becoming an Indian restaurant, I had high hopes! Sadly these hopes were dashed rather quickly. Popadoms, were a tad soft, tandoori prawns mushy, Chicken 65 fried and dry, lamb chops small, however the chilli beef was the saviour of the starters! Mains were ordered, warm plates set out and there we sat. To pass the time more drinks were ordered however we had to chase as they were not forthcoming unlike the takeaway orders which were flowing out of the kitchen at regular intervals. At one point during our wait the waiter apologised for the delay in our main meals being cooked due to a problem with an oven. We accepted this explanation, however when more takeaways kept coming out of the kitchen with no sign of our mains, frustration started to mount. After 50 minutes, with warm plates cold we asked for the bill. The one waiter who was run ragged apologised profusely, a second waiter came out and informed us our dinner was ready and brought out one main course which looked like it had been sitting on the pass for the length of time we had been waiting! The run ragged waiter produced our bill, deducted our starters which was extremely kind, however the overall experience had been ruined. This visit was extremely disappointing. Had the restaurant been heaving, it wouldn’t have been so bad. Joshua Tree you might have a booming takeaway business but please remember your restaurant customers are equally as important!"

Upon arrival, my companions and I were immediately drawn to the outdoor seating area, where we were seated in a charming little pod. The clever addition of heaters ensured our comfort even on colder days, making it a delightful spot to enjoy a meal. The thoughtful attention to detail in creating a comfortable outdoor space impressed me. As for the menu, we opted for the classic choice of burgers and chips, limiting our exploration of the extensive offerings. Nonetheless, I can confidently say that the burger I had was delicious. The patty was well-cooked and flavorful, and the toppings complemented it perfectly. It was evident that Dexter Burguer takes pride in using quality ingredients to craft their burgers. The only minor disappointment came from the chips, which were slightly oversalted for my taste. However, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience, and it's worth noting that taste preferences can vary from person to person. What stood out beyond the food was the inviting atmosphere. Dexter Burguer strikes a balance between a laid-back pub and a comfortable restaurant. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy good company. The well-prepared outdoor space showcased the restaurant's commitment to providing a pleasant experience, even during colder days. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our needs were met throughout the evening. Their professionalism and hospitality added to the overall positive impression I had of the place."

"Wow, first time in this restaurant and amazing, the welcome from staff was amazing, big smiles and just so willing to help all the time. The food arrived at our table and was just so well presented and delicious. When the meal finished and we ordered desert my hubby and I opted for coffee and we wanted pouring cream instead of milk and they made a plan, so well presented in the blue and white beaker just fell in love with the fact that they so willing to go the extra mile. I had to use the wheelchair facilities for my MIL and we took a little wheel about into the interior reataurant and the decor and atmosphere inside was so inviting.Thank you Pheasant at Buckland we as a family enjoyed every interaction with your staff and bite of scrumptious food your chef presented to us. Best of everything"
