"We stayed here last summer when, on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews, I thought it would be nice to detour from our journey and check this place out. What a gem! First I feel guilty for not having written earlier I am wondering if I was subconsciously reluctant to give away such a fabulous secret?! The bottom line is that I have never rated a hotel so highly yes, of course, there are swankier, luxury hotels out there but the combination of charm and value that this hotel combined is very hard to beat. Location off the eaten track but quiet and idyllic, with a stream passing right alongside the hotel that has a calming effect. The rooms were roomy and well appointed, and we stayed in one of the suites with a kitchen just for the night but it would be ideal for a longer stay as a family or larger group, with 2 separate bedrooms and a sitting area, kitchenette and a balcony. Dogs welcome. We ate in the hotel in the evening and this is where I was astonished at the value. €15 for a 3 course set menu offering a choice of 4 different dishes for each of the the starter, main and dessert. Everything was outstanding! The menu was varied and exciting, the food fresh, well presented and perfectly cooked/prepared. I had the baked sea bass now for €15 (and bearing in mind that covered all 3 courses) I was expecting a PIECE of a sea bass and not an especially large piece at that. Out came a whole sea bass, beautifully cooked and presented, with a smoked salmon garnish. I also spied the sirloin steaks from the menu as they went past to another table they looked fantastic too. What else? The chicken breast carbonara was obviously home made (and delicious) and came with freshly cooked chips. Side salads were fresh and crispy. Oh, and the €15 included bread (I expected a separate cover charge) AND a bottle of very passable Rioja! All in all, quite the best value meal I think I have ever encountered! Hardly surprisingly, the restaurant was busy, mostly with locals, and had great atmosphere. Add friendly and attentive service and the excellent rooms and you can see why I have rated this hotel so highly. In summary if you are anywhere near to Regules then I highly recommend taking the detour to stay and eat at this wonderful country hotel. Or base yourself there for a relaxing break in the wonderful, surrounding countryside. Just don't tell too many others about it!!!"

We ate great quantity and quality for little money, especially considering the location, in the beautiful village of the bulnes, by the river, in full nature. very rich the pits, cheeses, cachopos and tortos of picadillo that we will taste. View menu

We've climbed today to spend the day and eat lumps. We have chosen this restaurant for the charm of being by the river. the excellent treatment, the pretty good food, typical of the earth. We've opted for some cider chorizos, goat cake and cheesecake for dessert. Very good everything.

the lodging of the house of the chiflon very nice and careful with details that make the room very cozy. the room had wifi . and the house of the bridge where we breakfast and dinner on the glazed terrace looking to the river very well . highlight the attention and friendliness of david . super advisable . we were a week weekend this June of 2022

to enjoy the so spectacular atmosphere you are. After one of the many routes that come from bulnes to round oted is grateful to enjoy a good rest in cozy rooms. If you are looking for luxury, you will be confused and say of a good meal in your small bar by the river where any dish that serves is delicious. and say of the kindness of its owner and its bar team, nothing to object, the opposite, big. The food is very good and there is an English translation! I don't eat red meat, although my husband does. But it doesn't matter as there was a good choice of fish sea bass, turbot, cod and salmon. One evening I got something from the children's menu chicken breast. The starters are quite unusual and I loved scrambled eggs and vegetables these were presented in a square fashion! The local wines are very nice. I know other trip advisor reviews have complained that there isn't a daily menu, but it is a small hotel and have to make it pay.

Having read the reviews we thought we were safe dining here, especially as there are no other options in Regules. We were wrong. The food is over priced and not great quality. The majority of it is frozen food, deep fried which is so disappointing given the beautiful countryside this place resides in. Local food would be a much better option and you wouldn't mind paying for it. The menu was very expensive and the wine was way over priced. We paid 12e for 6 pieces of skinny manchego and 17e for a bottle of local wine, really?? They clearly think they can charge what they want as there are no other options locally. Really disappointing.
