"Ate here last night and although I can't say the food was bad in terms of flavors it was reasonably tasty and the meat was tender something about these huge, fatty, meaty and cheesy meals appal me. Don't get me wrong, I love...a good hamburger, or a steak, or bacon, or a cold cut, or pork belly, I'm not a queasy type. But this is too much. To me, it's just gross. Potatoes swimming in oil, a gigantic cut of ham swimming in butter and swathed in a thick, fatty layer of skin, it just doesn't appeal to me. If I have to eat a 3000 calorie meal, I can think of so many better ways to spend those.. However, this all comes down to personal taste. Having stopped in the Alsace on the way home from Italy this meal got me missing Italy already.."

We ate lunch with the kids. The service was very good (and in english). The food was fresh and tasty and the children's menu was with enough options. We enjoyed our meal.

when we asked if we could drink wine, the waitress said to us very rude to go somewhere else, because they are just a restaurant, even if the half of the tables were empty.

the staff was very friendly and the service was good. but eating was just okay. the lunch consisted of frozen pommes and mediocre pork and cost 60 € for two. for this price I would hope for more.

We arrived close to closing but the staff was accommodating. I had the grilled duck and steak and it was perfectly cooked. It came with a super fresh green salad and frites. My niece had the rosti with cheese and lardons and it was delicious.

we booked for the 2nd evening in advance. our table was on time. the menu is a list of Alsaceian specialties: sour wort, brittle wine, etc. eating was good without being exceptional. the beer and the honey roasted pork and kartoffeln was very good....The chicks as an appetizer were less popular. we enjoyed the entry level turquoise. overall we enjoyed our meal, although the tourist location adds something to the bill.

Although small to the point of being cramped when full, this is probably the best option for german food in the Hudson Valley. And, while, only serving beer and wine, there are numerous choices in both categories, many of which are relatively local. The menu...is also small and vegans, pescatarians and vegetarians will find slim pickings. Carnivores, on the other hand should be pleased. Particularly good were the chicken liver pate, the short ribs and the duck magret. Service is a little amateurish, but good natured, which makes the minor failings easy to overlook.

We had a nice lunch here yesterday. When you walk in the door, you get that old German inn atmosphere, with rich and warm wood walls, low ceilings, and cozy booths. The waitstaff was equally warm, and happy to suffer through our questions. The food...was delicious, but it must be noted that the thing here is Muenster cheese, so most of the dishes are slathered and covered with that delicious melty white stuff. This is comfort food. There isn’t a lot of subtlety here. My dish of sausages and potatoes covered with Muenster was, shall we say, the opposite of light, and I waddled out of there. Mmmmm.
