"We were walking through Avila admiring the sights and decided to stop here for lunch. We chose this because it was the only restaurant with some people in it, but what a bad experience. We placed our order using the few Spanish words we know. Our party consisted of 4 people and the waitron laid the table only for 3 people. And so we asked for a fourth setting and received another table mat. When our food arrived we again asked for another knife and fork which was followed by a string of comments, all understandable whether you knew any Spanish or not. We did NOT receive a fourth set of cutlery and tried to share what we had. The food was not worth the single star we awarded above. The bread definitely was old and tough. There was one order of salmon which not only was still completely raw but still cold in the center- as if directly from the freezer. We will never go here again and I can not recommend this venue at all. In fact, rather stay clear."

Ávila, a walled city in Spain, is famous for its medieval architecture and culinary delights such as Chuletón steak and Yemas de Santa Teresa, a sweet egg yolk dessert.
