Oberammergau is a beautiful village rich in history. The shops are excellent with many wood carvings and quality souvenirs. English is spoken every where and makes Windsor look like a foreign town.

This italian restaurant serves good food at very reasonable prices. We were 3 persons that had an evening meal and a beer and the price total was only € 30! The Food was good and so was the service. I'd come back again.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and precious owner who waited on us. She spoke English pretty well and gave us English menus. We got 4 different types of pizzas, and all of them were great. I really loved my grilled veggie pizza. We ordered 2 different beers and a glass of Pinot Grigio. All of them were good. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. Would eat there again.

We chose Passione because of its proximity to our hotel. There are others that might be better. I ordered the gnocchi with shrimp in red cream sauce. It was average. Shrimp were tiny and not very plentiful. My wife liked the lasagna. And we both thought the Bruschetta was a little better than average. Got a cheese pizza to go, which the kids REALLy liked. Overall, decent, but not overwhelmingly good.

Don't waste your time and money. Simply the worst 4 cheese pizza of our lifetime!!! First time my husband could not finish his pizza. We normally like all types of cheeses, including blue cheese. We could smell the odor of pizza from the kitchen. It truly smelled like sweaty feet. We asked for 2 glasses of water and were served 2 open bottles of tap water at $3.00 a pop. In the Alps you should not need to order bottle water

The italian restaurant is located in the centre of Oberammergau and has plenty of space inside and on a terrace. I got the spaghetti carbonara and it was very cheap and delicious. I waited approx. 10 minutes for the food, and with a good Helles-beer from the Augustinus brewery, 10 minutes is nothing! The atmosphere was typical italian and very nice and cosy and the food was some of the best I've got here so far. Even though it was the cheapest as well. The waiters spoke german and english and were very polite.

"Interesting that I would have to come all the way to Oberammagau to find great Mexican food in Germany. The Germans don't do spicy very well; schnitzel and bratwurst yes, spicy no. So I was skeptical when my wife wanted to go try El Puente because she wanted Mexican food. We've been to two places in Stuttgart, and both of them ranged from bad to on par with Taco Bell. The first thing that strikes you is the atmosphere. Very lively, great music (ranging from Tejano to other styles of Mexican music which I am unfamiliar with), and the decor is very interesting. I wouldn't say authentic, as authentic places in Mexico don't quite have their walls festooned with cattle skulls, serapes, and sombreros, it's understandable that they have to set the mood, given that the Alps are just around the corner. The food was great, well above what I expected. I had the Chili con Carne, and while this is usually a throwaway dish on the menu, I would say this should be a go-to menu item for anyone wanting a little spice in their life. Not overpowering spice, but it's enough to let you know that it's there. The fresh baked bread to dip into the Chili con Carne was also a great touch. My wife had the chicken enchiladas, which had a lot of flavor, the tortillas tasted very fresh, and the chicken was very tender. Overall, another place to put down in our books of regular places we will go when we are in Oberammagau (see my s'Wirsthaus review for another place)."
