If I could give zero stars, I wouldWe walked 20 minutes to try their creme brulee at 10pm at night.

we wanted to enjoy a nice dinner on our first day in bordeaux and we chose this restaurant. Food: mediocre.

"La Robe" is one of the best restaurants in Bordeaux in its price category. Last time we were 6 people, ordered very different meals, and everybody was more than happy. The service was very cordial and efficient. Would certainly repeat.

We ended up here by accident, when looking for somewhere to eat fish. And a very lucky coincidence it was! We had 3 sumptious courses and a nice bottle of white to go with it. Very friendly wif & husband couple that runs the place. He cooks, she serves and had some nice chats with us as it was quiet. But it deserves to be busy, because the food is not only delicious but also well presented.

The bad news: La Robe was sold about a year ago and no longer features wine by women wine makers. The good news: We had excellent dinners in a pleasant modern (vaguely Southern Californian) setting with efficient service. For an 18 euro set meal, two of us had an enormous mixed grill, and two of us had maigre (sea bass) that was one of the most delicious fish of our lifetimes. Haricots verts wrapped in bacon, salad with cheese, nougat ice cream with strawberry coulis. We added an inexpensive bottle of Ch.
